Never Walk Alone

To hell with forgiveness, punch her in the neck.

A bacon-wrapped punch so you can snack while she writhes on the ground.

Just stopping by to say “LOVE YOU!!!” It makes me so happy to see that you are back in the gym and hitting it hard.

GMs…oh do I avoid them. Oh, do I probably need to do them. But those suckers are hard.

If you fly me out to NY I will use my skills to track her down, note her daily movement patters and we can go all Nancy Kerrigan on her lol

Damn girl

let Matty and I do a drive by
Matty will have to drive- I can’t really drive

Before I gave up the wrassling and Judo I finally moved on to ‘masters’
which then was like over 30 or 32- such a smart move so much more civilized
and the secret is - you also become so much ‘faster’ by comparison

rehab is summer is good-you can do shit in a pool
allot of studies show unilateral training on the ‘good’ limb
improves the healing of the bad limb.

GVT GMs day sounds good.
After telling you about it, I tried it out. Absolutely awesome! A little bit too much volume for my back, but it wasn’t pain. Just annoying. Took a little over 20 minutes for the 10 sets. So whatever you plan to do on that day, just plan accordingly.

You should be angry at the chick who did this to you. I would be. Hell, I’m mad for you.
It looks like we got a gang forming. Matty and Greg and Kmac and I will take care of business. I’ll use my height to my advantage and do a sneak attack.

oh yes you have every right to be mad at her. she fowled. or whatever the term is. she fucked up your knee. bitch. looking forward to seeing what training you end up doing.

Awesome! We’ll need a gang sign, and gang colors, and maybe some sort of dance where we snap in an intimidating way. What should we be called?

YAY, Kimba! I feel the love! Thanks, mama, you always bring a smile to my face

Kev - definitely will start swimming soon! I tried it the other day and it was pretty successful, just waiting on the outdoor pool to open in my hood. Giggity! Its a hidden gem that thing. I <3 NY! And interesting on the unilateral work…am I supposed work both legs? or just the good one?

Nik, so you tried the GM GVT eh? It does seem like a lot of volume on the back! I could probably use it tbh, but frankly, from what I did yesterday, I’m just not sure I’m doing the GMs right! They felt kind of awkies. But maybe that’s just because its a new movement. And good idea on planning accordingly! I’m going to have to redo my training regime to add some of this new stuff. YAY!

Yesterday’s glutes and hams!

Wall sits - 4x 1min w/ 30 secs rest in between < this was like a walk in the park actually. I’ll have to make this harder somehow.
Glute circuit - basically the Brazilian Butt workout with a 5lb ankle weight. 25 reps of 5 glute exercises.
GMs - 10x 85, 70, 80, 80 < 85 was lofty, lol!
RDLs with toes up - 12x 75, 95, 105, 105 < i’ll catch you yet Kimba!
Hang cleans - 2x5x65 < just trying these out, doable but a bit too much on the knee right now. I want to get back into Oly…

superset:
Standing abductor - 15x 20, 25, 30, 25
stading adductor - 15x 20, 20, x, x < had to abandon mission on these, they were putting too much pressure on the knee. Funny how the abducting is ok, but the adducting isn’t. Probably should’ve just lowered the weight on the adducting, instead of just giving up. i can be such a lazy fuck!

SB rev hyper - 15x BW, BW, 10, 10 < these were too easy, had to put on the ankle weights

And that was that! I also fiddled around a bit with other stuff to see if I could do the exercises. So now I can add leg extensions, KB swings, static lunges and after doing the RDLs I figure I can do some straight leg DLs! altho in my head, RDLs and SLDs are the same, lol - does anyone know the difference between these two?

Also, I’ve been a bit bad and haven’t been doing any active rehab work - its just that, trying to bend my knee back in a hamstring curl position or a bellow parallel squat, makes me feel a bit queasy. But I know I need to regain that ROM…part of the problem, i reckon, is that I still have quite a bit of inflammation, but I always forget to take my pills! Oops…

Tonight its chest, arms and abs and I made a note to do some recumbant bike and then work on this ROM issue before getting into the lifting. Working on it!

Also, my surgeon has this fandangled website with lots of links to some good info. I found this optimistic:
http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/topic.cfm?topic=A00365&return_link=0

Looks like i’m on the right path

glad you are on the right path
and of course you tattoo is a phoenix. it was obvious to me once you mentioned it. i like it a lot.

found this on romanian dead vs stiff leg:
http://www.T-Nation.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance/romanian_vs_stifflegged_deadlifts

hmm… that is a bit different from what i thought… i thought the idea with romanian was to push the butt back as far as you can (i’d do them with a wall behind me and progressively move away from it) whereas in the stiff legged you wanted the bar to move like for a regular deadlift except it was alright for your hips to be higher (but still kept lumbar curve). seems to be a lot of different opinions on the ‘correct’ nature of these exercises.

I think I speak for everyone when I say that you need a close up video of this “glute circuit/Brazilian butt workout” that you speak of… You know so we can check your form and all. Can’t have you getting more injured

That sounds like a nice workout Masch. You could make the wall sits harder by adding weight?

Sounds like you are making the most of it in the gym. Very awesome. With that being said, you really need to get your ROM back so you don’t develop a weird limp. That will end up messing up your hips and ankles. Then you will be really screwed!

I am a total Bro!! (Or Brew as we say in the hood). In fact, today I’m wearing a tank top and I just ran into an old colleague who commented, “oh, you’re getting so buff” and of course I had to throw up my guns! Only a girl could get away with that. You’d be a mega douche if a did that…or wait, am I a mega douche?

Thanks Greg! Hmm…maybe i can hold a plate over my head or something, you know, to work my corah.

And thanks for the info Lex - i’ll read that article and see what’s up. Maybe I’ll go hit Germanone up for some info. I think he pulls SDLs all the time.

Sarah - I know, I know! A proper gait is of the utmost importance. Tonight I rehab!

Megadoucherano

I cheer for rehab! Actually, I’d cheer for you just standing there flashing your gunz…
