And I’m back!
Yesterday’s workout - chest and arms:
Stationary bike 10mins < not too bad on the knee, so that’s promising
Stretching and knee rehab < yay! kept my word, ROM is coming back!
Chins 5x5xBW
DB Incline bench - 8x30, 40, 40, 7x40 < This is good considering I haven’t benched since February when I sprained my shoulder. I failed on the 8th rep on the last set. So close! Valiant effort
Flyes for the guyz at 25s 4x12
Dips - 4x6xBW
pushups - 2x12 - one set with feet inclined, one set plyo < I had to abandon these b/c they hurt my knee. Its weird and annoying that I can ride a bike with minimal pain, but I can’t do something as innocuous as a pushup
Zottoman curls - 12x15, 20, 20, 15
And of course, I was supposed to do abs but was too fucking lazy. Brotard status has been revoked!!
So basically, that’s how my new BBing split is going to go until I get the knee situ sorted out. I’m going to make a few changes to the split by adding a GM GVT day and include some quad and a bunch of the other exercises I plan to do. My over all goal right now is to just keep things tight until I’m all healed up, and lean out. I’m currently at 133 and I want to get down to 127 - so that when I get back into Oly I can stay close to my desired weight class
I’m also just going to throw up some progress pics. Like I’ve said, I’m in the process of leaning out. Haven’t really done much aside from clean up the diet. Calories are pretty much in the 1800 range. I figure if I just stay consistent I’ll lean out slowly but surely.
I’m currently a bit grossed out by my lower half, which is usually my money maker. But with the ACL I haven’t been able to do the kind of lower body work that keeps the legs and glutes looking juicy and delicious. Now they just feel and look flabby and jiggly. Hopefully I can turn that around soon!
And of course, I just want to say thank you ALL for tuning in to my log and following me on my journey. Never walk alone indeed! You guys are the best! I seriously have a lot of love for the PW compound and all you crazy strong freaks (especially the tiny ones!) and weirdos.
You guys are so amazing! And without your support, I really, truly don’t know where I’d be right now. This log has been a strange little log with 3 separate injuries, a foray into Olympic lifting, and a constant attempt to improve my lifting and lift correctly and safely. And while I feel I’ve had to take many steps backwards, I’ve made great strides forwards as well! The journey ahead will be a great one no doubt
Keep killing it my bitches!
Lots of <3 to you all and happy lifting!
