Nutella ftw!! I emptied a jar last weekend and am not allowed to buy another jar. The only way I can stop eating Nutella after starting, other than running out, is the have a teaspoon of peanut butter to cancel the taste. Stopping the peanut butter is another challenge however…

Man, apparently I’m missing out on the Nutella. I am OCD about reading labels and it never passed the test. Very difficult to explain the nutrient algorithm that I use.

Actually, my last meal before being sent to the guillotine would be a giant plate of slow-cooked pork ribs, followed by a jar of nutella with a toasted baguette (for scooping purposes, obviously).

But yeah, Veg, its def not a “healthy” treat, altho it certainly helps soothe the soul - and sometimes, that’s all a girl can really ask for.

Today I trained - was short on time, but i got in as much as I could manage.

Ft squat - 5x65, 85, 105, 2x3x130 < so i’m kinda stuck between 130-135. I’m implementing 5x5 and I’m using Starr’s calculations, but I just can’t get past the 3rd rep without getting sloppy. Its frustrating. I’ve done 5x130 a few weeks ago, but when i tried 5x135 at the following sesh it was really ugly. I’m going try 135 out again when I’m certain my hormone levels are up, and see what gives.

supersetted:
BW N grip pullups - 4, 5x3, 4x2 < 5 less than the last time i trained these back in Feb. Use em or lose em fatty!
single med ball pushups - 4x16
Bent over lat raises - 15x10, 15x12.5, 2x15x10

GHRs - 12xBW, 3x12x10 plate in front < Oh, GHR device how i long to be with you!! Its love.

That was it.

Couldn’t get in the lunges, rows and abs but i’ll get them in on some other day. Maybe I’ll use them for my concurrent training later this week (must beat my last mile time!).

The rest of the week’s training is a bit abnormal. No soccer practice tomorrow for reasons still unclear, and only one day of Oly - the Oly gym is having a benefit to raise money. Of course I had to offer to make a cake - for 50 people no less. HAH! Why do I do these things…

I’m going to try to get some vids of my snyatch to compare with the other ladies. We’ll see though. I’m still doing hang snatches, but I’d be interested to see what you guys think of my 2nd ext.

i’ll love to see vids :slight_smile: i know i keep going on about this… but i really like your way of learning with getting the second pull right before learning to find that position from the floor. only reason i don’t do more from the hang is because i feel like i need someone in person to show me where the second position actually is so i’m still fudging that part :-/

obviously i’m about the last person to listen to about how to make ones squat go up… but i do find that sometimes a 5x5 can benefit from replacing 1x5 with 2x3. especially when i can’t do a 1x5 keeping the form good. then after some time i can huff and puff a bit after rep 3 and get to rep 4 then huff and puff some more before getting the last rep. might be worth a try, anyway. dunno.

what kind of cake you gonna make? i bet nutella would make a good icing…

I always find it funny when athletic organizations have baked goods to raise money. I realize not everyone follows crazy diets and there are times to indulge, but sometimes they have bagels or donuts at my gym. You might as well just walk right back out that gym door… At any rate, that’s a big ol’ cake you have to make!! Good luck! Are you a baker? I secretly love baking, but I try to only bake when I can give it away! (A coworker paid me to make “cake balls” for him yesterday. OMG sooooooo yummy!)
