That is just downright pretty to look at. And it’s not a bad looking city either.

Have fun!
In Seattle go to Voodoo dougnuts…
Veg, thanks girlie!
Matty - hold your horses, baby! NY certainly isn’t the greatest city on earth, but its hard to find something that compares to it, esp if you’re born and bred. I mean, SF was nice, but that place was so…hm…soft! you know? I like a bit of grit, the working man’s plight, and people out there are, dare I say, TOO relaxed. lol! Seattle is pretty sick tho. Its got that industrial feel to it, but with mountains in the background. I like it a lot! Too bad it rain 24/7 in this place, or else I’d be sold.
Git - such a sweetie pie ![]()
Hey Joe! I went looking for voodoo doughnuts, but turns out - that’s in Portland! HAHA! Thanks for the rec anyways.
So yeah, I’m still here in Seattle - heading back to NY in a few days. I miss home ![]()
Despite the relentlessly shitty, misty, chilly rain, Seattle has been fun, and like i said, its a nice little coastal city with lots of delicious and fresh seafood, of which I’ve been eating a ton. SO YUMMY!!
Anyways, I got in a couple decent workouts in at a gym called Vision Quest here in downtown (a rec from my hometown gym manager Will who used to work there). Its actually a pretty awesome gym - well equipped, tires for flipping, and a whole xfit section for Oly work. Good stuff.
Anyways, everyone was super nice to me and excited to hear about my training. lol! And FYI, there was a lot of meaty eye candy around. These north-westerners are def easy on the eyes with their dark hair and light eyes. Plus I gander that with all the shitty weather there isn’t much to do aside from training, so they look good and, surprisingly, had some good form!
As for training - I wasn’t really following anything b/c I was a bit shy about training with peeps hawk-eyeing the “new girl”, but i fiddled about and got in one lower day and one upper day. I’m so fucking stoked that my shoulder is finally healing up!!! S’bout time bitch!
Lower workout (thurs):
Front squat - 5x65, 85, 105, 115, 3x135, 1x135
Back squat - 2x135, 5x95, 115
^ I was really working on being explosive for these - slow descent and esplode (ha!). I do wish i was putting up more weight tho, just for the sake of my ego.
Then did some random cleans, rack pulls, DB snatches, hypers and called it a day.
Granola fueled upper workout courtesy of free continental breakfast (Friday):
Push presses - 8x65, 5x70, 8x65 < hit my chin twice (!) that’s how long its been since I’ve done these
BB row - 8x65, 85, 95, 95 < tried to do the 95s Pendlay style, but it was too hard! I really want to do them, tho. Something to work on.
Giant superset:
Ngrip pullups - 5x3xBW
pushups - 4x12 < these were pushups where you go down and on your way up you lift one arm and one leg (on the same side) at the same time, if that makes sense. Its kind of plyo-like. Def fun and challenging.
Ngrip pullups - 3x3xBW, 2x2 < losing steam on these, but i’m happy b/c i looked back at my log and the last time i trained my pullups was 2/16 - so not too bad!
DB side lat raises - 12x12, 15, 2x12x20
Then some finishers:
Rope pulldowns 3x12x some stacks
Krocs 12x35, 40
bi’s and tris
Was rockin’ a mad pump ![]()
And it felt SOOOO good to get in a decent fucking upper body workout after having to take 5 weeks off for the shoulder sprain. I even texted my coach to let him know I was back in the saddle and of course his response was, “a winner never quits” HAHAHA! Woot woot! Can’t wait to get back into Oly!!
Oh, and my bosses put me up in this ridic hotel - Just look at this bathroom! Looks kinda like Edgy’s no?
Point is, after today’s workout I filled up the tub for a hot bath - but before i got in it, I jumped in the shower and took a freezing, cold shower. Brrrr! Then I ran, dripping across the pristine tiles into the bath. Felt nice ![]()
But when i got out I actually got dizzy. HAHA! amidonitrite?
Ok, off to bed with me.
I get back into NY on Sunday and have to go immediately to a soccer match. Ugh! Could be a recipe for disaster, so again, i’ll have to be sure to warm up properly, and then some!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
nice training! especially after having to take it easy for so long with your shoulder. so funny to me how you talk about having to check the ego to put up your squat numbers. if i got your squat numbers i’d be ecstatic! still, we all have different challenges, i guess :-/ i know what you mean about being a bit shy training someplace new… glad you got some nice eye candy out of it. bet they were happy, too.
Nice hotel! Does the hot chica come with the room? ![]()
Getting stationed in WA is a possibility for us…but I love the east coast and like you said, the RAIN…its relentless…
Safe travels back!!
Wow, sounds like a great trip and a couple of great sessions in the gym. Particularly the upper day. Hell yea! You did a ton of volume and the shoulder held up. That’s awesome.
Good luck with the Sunday-flight-straight-to-soccer-match thing. Bet you’ll sleep like a rock on Sun night!
You look beautiful Maschy!
I’m glad you’re having fun, and more importantly that your shoulder’s healing up.
Awesome training, kick ass upper body day. Gotta hate the hawk-eye =)
Is jet lag going to influence your soccer game at all? ;(
Yeah on the shoulder.
And what you say about the West coast is true. It’s a culture shock. In North Jersey I was sweet. Here, I’m blunt–I leave staff meetings and my friends worriedly approach me–“I can’t believe you just said that.”
“What? What did I say that was so bad!”
Good luck with your soccer game. Don’t forget to load up on the fluid too.
Wow! I think you submit that photo to the hotel so they could use it as a marketing pic you look awesome and happy, it looks like the left coast is having an easy breezy effect on you! I heard Seattle is awesome, my buddy once told me that even the homeless people are polite and well dressed in the north west.
Glad you are having fun on the trip. Seattle and I would not get along. I NEED sun. Now San Fransisco is an awesome city.
Nice shower pic up there. I noticed the cut abs, even from way over here. Pretty Maschy.
And now I’m wondering what kind of bath heaven Edgy’s got going on. A good tub is important.
hey V, I might be visiting some family soon in Manhattan, they are in Greenwich Village. anywhere near you?

Hey Andy!! YAY! I live in Brooklyn, but everything in NYC is “near” enough.
When you coming in to town? Let’s hang!
Maschy so many dirty throughts came to mind… nice hotel bathrooms and ridic hot babes together kinda do that to me.
Good job on putting in a workout in while travelling.
I love Montreal for its little whorish underbelly too.
Lex - yes, that’s exactly right! We do all have different challenges. But that’s part of the fun of PW, seeing how everyone progresses differently.
Lol, Deb! Thanks, mama ![]()
Thanks MiM! Yeah, let’s hope you get stationed in FL, eh?
OMG, Veg. Totally. I foresee my bed is going to be a wonderful place to be come Sunday night. And Yeah, aside for some general lower and upper DOMs, the shoulder is feeling pretty good. That reminds me, i should do a bit of stretching now, actually. Keep it from tightening up too much. Thanks for that!
HAH! Nadia, with your penchant for calling people whore-as and hookers, I can only imagine. And YES!! Believe it or not, making sure I stay hydrated is my main concern. I’m going to get a bit bottle of water for the day. I don’t care if I have to pee every hour (which I normally do btw, so annoying), but the last thing I need is that horrible post-flight dehydration, particularly b/c being dehydrating can lead to…dun, dun duuun…muscle pulls. Must.save.hammie.
Matty, can you imagine? The advert would read: “At our hotels the chicks in the bathrooms aren’t found in a pool of blood” or “The Hyatt - Use our tubs, keep your kidneys” Lol!
Puff, thanks! And i’m like you girl. I NEED sun. Being chocolatey brown is ingrained in my ancestral roots! So yeah, thus far, the only city i’d move to is Miami - but that would mean moving closer to my family. lol!
The sun “appears” to have come out a bit - i’m going to do a bit of sightseeing and then I’m outtie!!
See you guys when I’m back on the RIGHT coast…if you know what I mean… ![]()

Hey lovey! You just snuck in there!
HAH! You’re funny! My guy always says the same btw - hotels make him horny. Apparently, to him, they always conjure up dirty thoughts…
Btw, I really liked Montreal when I was there and had thought of moving there as well! But, again, the summers aren’t hot enough for me. Ah well!
Seedy underbelly’s FTW! I like the way you think ![]()

mm I’ll have to talk to my cousin but I think it will be in the summer sometime.
Sounds like you had fun on your trip.
Portland eh? I guess thats why you should never do “The tequila shot tour of the Pacific Northwest”
you doing alright? hope the soccer is going well and your shoulder is healing up.
