HAHAH! Tamale knows too much! Actually the man and I have gone “exclusive” so the door is officially closed. But I would LOVE to give you a visit to sip on some beach side drinks and scam on all the smooth skinned latin boys calling Ronaldo!

I’m so glad to see you back mama!! Stick around.

Now enough about my torrid love life!

Thank Carl! Lets hope the cleans come easier than the snatch.
How about we go clean and jerk together, I’ll check out your snatch and give you feed back since you know I’ve competed in weightlifting and all. I juz talkingzz bautz working outzzz, SRSLYzzzz!
Well, helloooooooooo, Ronaldo  Hehe

Happy Christmas Masch!

Great work on the snatches!

Lucky to have smaller bumpers (even if they are plastic and make a horrid noise). I’ve got metal plates set on wooden blocks for the height and I am TERRIFIED I’m going to crash the bar down (with anything less than 35kg) and bend it :frowning: Going to have to train with one of the crappy regular bars, I think, so I can commit properly to the lift. Sounds like you have made a heap of progress, and can overhead squat without falling over  Great work.

Thanks for stopping by everyone and for all the lifting well wishes and Happy Holidays looooove.

You guys are the best and your endless support means the world to me! Without your feedback and encouragement, and constant entertainment, I’d be nowhere. (sigh, sentimental Mascherano is sentimental).

So I’ll say it again, here’s to 2011!! May all our days be filled with health, wealth and happiness! Let’s dominate!

With love,
Mascherano

Sweet Happy Holidays me fellow furry lover

may they be as crazy and bright as you are.

xxx

Maschy did it wrong, it’s supposed to be a picture of YOU! ;D

Happy holidays Gawgeous, don’t break too many hearts out there

Your gym sounds like fun! I love that kind of camaraderie.
Hope you have an awesome Christmas!

Merry Christmas Maschy, I hope you get all the naughty and nice things you want.

Happy Holidays to you Maschy…you make this place bright and cheery!

The whole year has been better cause you were in it. Thanks for Masch-ifing all of us in 2010 and looking forward to the hijinks of 2011!

I hope your holiday is awesome!

Thank you all so much for the holiday wishies! Mainy, Nikki, LS, Joe, MiM and Kimba - you guys rock! And to the rest of you, Hallowed, Tamale, Edgy, Ink, Ronaldo, ALL OF YOU who wished me a good holiday, thanks again! If the end of 2010 is any indication of what 2011 is going to be like, then I’m definitely looking forward to it

Anywho, thanks god the holidays are behind us and I can have my life back. Ugh!

Today was supposed to be my day back into serious training but we got dumped with insane amounts of snow, thus all my plans were completely thwarted. No Oly, no nothing. The city has been completely shut down!

Lucky for me though the gym was open and I trudged the 20 min walk to get in a workout. I was planning on doing sqwatz, upper body and then some hill sprints but when I got to the gym I saw that they were completely snowed in!! When I managed to get into the gym, I was met with the gym manager Tony who was all by himself manning the front desk, so I told him that I’d gladly clear the snow for him. And I did! I cleared a path from the front door to the end of the street, an entire block - took me 1 hr and 45 mins! I’m like the Tom Sawyer of bizarro world. HA!

Anyways, after that, with a grand feeling of accomplishment, I went in to the gym and ran my hill sprints

Here’s a pic of all my hard work!

And yes my phone sucks that bad - no sexy self shots for me!

And just a quick training note -

Training for 2011 will go like this:

2 days Oly
1 DL/lower body day
1 upper body day where I will also do some back/front squatting and continue to focus on my pullups (10 in 2011!..?)
2 days conditioning, one of which I will also train my soccer skills and the other of which I’ll do my pilates

Sprinkled in all of this will be circuits and hill sprints, and hopefully one long endurance run.

I know this looks like a lot, but I feel I can manage. It certainly is ambitious. But the Oly lifting is going to take time and I think it will be a good three months or so before I get past 30kg on the snatch, not to mention I still haven’t learned the C&J. So I figure I can focus on that and conditioning and maintaining the strength I worked so hard and diligently for in 2010. And I hope to god that I get to tryout for the WPS. Even if I don’t get anywhere with that, i’d be happy playing ‘high caliber’ soccer, even for just a day or two.

At any rate, I will take my regularly scheduled deloads and Sundays are God’s day, so those will be OFF days…

long term goals:
To be a lean, mean machine
10 consecutive pullups pronated and neutral (i know I can do 10 chinups, i just know it! I’ll test this out this week - wish me well!)

Short term goals:
Conv DL 5x190
Sumo DL 5x225
DB press my weight < i’m seriously considering doing this Bobbi! I just hope I don’t get too jacked…HAHAH! (dead serious)

What kind of rep scheme do you guys think I should employ for trying to press my weight? I’ve done 5x5 on BB rows and got great results, maybe i can do the same with DB pressing?

Work is going to be crazy, but i think the training will keep me busy and focused. You know what they say…idle hands…

Anyways, that’s it! Here’s to a new year and new training!

yay for a new year…BRING IT ON!!

Love your goals for next year! Dude, thats it I’m gonna do it to.
Gonna write them all down!

I’ve got some big not training stuff in the works and should really cement in the physical goals too.

Ha, see… you inspired me

I thought you reached this goal like, forever ago ;D

Maschy, you are so determined and have such a great attitude, you can achieve whatever goals you want to.

You’re also a hell of a nice person because I don’t know many New Yorkers who will spend 2 hours shoveling the sidewalk for someone else.

Ah, the amount of times I’ve been cursed out at NY for doing simple things like smiling… I miss home <3

LMAO
I cherish your friendship Gawgeous and look forward to a new year with you :*

That was a nice thing you did for your gym pal.

Between you and Joe, organizing your training goals, I am inspired to do the same. They are in my head but that’s not the same as writing them down. I’m not a ‘resolution’ guy but I like a well laid out plan.

First, awesome shoveling. Second, great goals. Third, you have those 10 chinups for sure!

That was SOME shovel job. And then you ran your sprints! Of course you did!

Personally, I think you should do 11 pullups in 2011, but I just like typing all those 11111s.

That is an ambitious training schedule but I honestly believe you can pull it off.

That is quite a path you cleared
And yeah, that is an ambitious schedule but you’re young enough to recover. (It’d just about kill me…)
