Regarding the DL, I should preface this by saying that I’m not only the squat depth bitch but now the DL form bitch as well. Quite frankly, I think your conventional pull looks pretty damn good. Hips look down enough to me.

First, your DL form looks fine and believe me I know a lot about bad form.
Secondly I’m not sure how the guy who came in while you were getting set up didn’t walk into the sides of that smith machine.

Training news is whatever. The only thing I can say is that now I can only train snatches with 25kg or more - anything less is too easy and I cheat the lift. How nice. That’s like 50lbs. Today I kept ambitiously adding weight b.c i was so embarrassed to be using the big plastic 2.5kg plates (the bar is 15kg) . They’re not even real bumper plates and when they hit the ground the sound just awful! You might as well give me clown shoes to wear.
Today was the holiday party at the O-lifting gym and we did secret santa grab bag - altho you knew who gave you the gift since ridiculing the gift giver was part of the game. It was fun! I like revelry. They made me sing Rudolf the Red Nose Riengdeer (how do you spell that?!) with the other newb, a woman from Colorado named Katie. She’s nice and quite boisterous herself.
I got coach gerry’s gift, a baseball hat that says “USA Weightlifting” that he got at some meet and a pair of baby blue wrist straps! At this rate I’ll probably get to use them in 2012. HAH! Maybe I can pull some heavy rows or something…I gave beff jerky, mixed nuts and flaxseed oil.
That’s it. Tomorrow sqwatz and upper body, then dinner with my guy - its his birthday! Silly saggitarian.
I’m going to try to hit the gym until Friday and then take the weekend off. Here’s hoping for the best!

Lol! Well, he’s been my partner for 10 years, so somehow I’ve managed to keep his attention. But you’re totally right! The free-er he feels the more apt he is to come home to mama. I adore him. He’s endlessly entertaining and really the only person who accepts me for who I am (considering all my flaws). And he’s turned 43 if you can believe that! HAHAH!
But its true Mainy, in my world I’m also single and ready to mingle
As for the gym, YES! It totally is a little family - which for a solitary creature such as myself is really good. If I don’t actively seek connections with other humans I just might be content to live in my own little world.

DL looked really good. Only thing I would try is instead of having your head up and eyes straight ahead at the start, is to drop your head down so it’s “neutral” with your spine, rather than being flexed up.
