Naproxen to Reduce Inflammation?

I went to see my doctor about my shoulder pains and he said my bicep tendon is irritated and my rotator cuff muscles, he told me to take Naproxen and not train for 2 weeks, has anyone tried it? what does it do?

Naproxen is an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory). If the diagnosis is correct, this should help. Just for perspective, it is similar to ibuprofen, but it doesn’t have to be taken as often (every twelve hours instead of every four).

This isn’t entirely common knowledge:

Naproxen is the same thing as Aleve.

Ibuprofen is the same thing as Motrin and Advil.

Acetaminophen is the same thing as Tylenol.

Naproxen and ibuprofen work well with inflammation. Acetaminophen is great with fevers.

The only real difference between prescription naproxen and Aleve is that the prescription version is stronger. But I also highly suggest you follow the dosing instructions on the bottle, and don’t take more than you should of the OTC stuff … leave that decision to a doctor.

Diclofenac is much better than naproxen google it, all anti inflams
