Back Pain After Training & Aleve?

Ok so in the last 4 workouts I did this week I have started to see how heavy I could go on the main exercises not like isolation arm exercises just like rows, dumbbell bench press, and shoulder press, and squats.

Thing is last year I injured my lower back working. After completing physical therapy I got almost back to normal only felt pain doing a few things and exercises.

Well everyday this week I have had pain again at night so I started taking some old naproxen I had from last year.

Do anti inflammatorys like naproxen aka alive hinder gains? Does anyone have advise with this same back problem? I like surprising myself seeing how completely heavy I can go since I have been working out for over 5 years.

If you think your back pain is disk related then find out if you have pain when your spine is either in flexion or extension then read these, Strength Training, Bodybuilding & Online Supplement Store - T NATION , Strength Training, Bodybuilding & Online Supplement Store - T NATION , Strength Training, Bodybuilding & Online Supplement Store - T NATION if you want more here Forums - T Nation - The World's Trusted Community for Elite Fitness .

Thanks great articles better response than I could have ever expected. Just read about disk hydration in one of the articels going to go lay down now to increase it .

I believe any COX inhibitor (NSAIDS, of which naproxen is one) hinder gains when taken immediately before or after workouts.

I have heard that the inflammation pathways and muscle repair pathways are closely linked, and muscle repair is hindered when these enzymes are inhibited.
