N00b: Hi

hey been reading a bit already but i thought to get the best definitive answer i just ask my indiv case…

i see on here many ppl have said it is hard to get ur abs to show theres always a layer of fat etc etc…

well always had some abs…but started the gym 3x+ a week in may and there is definitely more definition but the lower abs just dont show up

when i started i was 150lbs 7.5%BF so i dont think i can blame this on fat…am i just too scrawny and keep working? special exercises for the lower abs? etc etc

2mos down the road i am almost 160…goal by end of aug 160-165 (btw im 6fT)

Well at 6ft 155lbs I’m guessing you’re a woman. Did you recently have a kid? You could be carrying a little extra fat from your pregnancy. Either that or you may just be overly bloated from your period.

oohhh burn (but i have a high pain tolerance)

nope definitely a guy/
i ran track in highschool and always been very slim. This is partly why m going to the gym now i want to gain some weight
Serious replies appreciated

J@ck@55’s need not apply

start: 150lbs
2 months: 160lbs (gain of 10 lbs)
1 month aim: another 5 pounds

Well at least your aim is to gain weight, and you are doing quite well, gaining 5 lbs a month, I guess that is not bad for someone who is obviously tall and thin and used to run track (long distance?)

I find it hard to believe your lower abs are hidden by fat.

Also I find it hard to believe that seeing your abs is a goal?

well goal to gain some weight…almost 10lbs so far, satisfied but really i dont “see” much of a difference…feel better and defintiely lift a bit more but dont see the difference.

Neways, its more for fitness and appearance (im a biochem student and just a desire to do something active when ive been pretty busy these last couple years), not as fit or active as i was in high school. i was surprised to see that my BF% was still so low actually which is why i dont think it could possiibly be fat; but seems near impossible to see the lower half and its pissing me off

Most men have trouble seeing the bottom parts of the abs without serious dieting.

Not to mention, some guys just don’t have “bottom abs”

Some guys have a 6 pack when cut up, some have 8.

Best advice would be to put on more muscle though, 6’ 160 is still skinny.
