My Quest For a 100kg Snatch

The Jerk is just harder to get when at limit. 90-95% is easier but at limit it has been a long time coming to PB man…

I know another lifter who Jerked for 2years before Snatching and his C&J is savage relative to his Snatch, he’s like 112/155!!! At 72-75kg or so? Crazy ahey?

Yesterday I did some technique drilling the snatch + some pull-ups & deadlifts.
Next week I plan to set a new PR of 165 lb.

Where do I begin…moving to Spain,doing night shift 30 nights a month,living in a hostel room for months before aquiring an apartement,breaking a rib in a fight,sorting documents so I can join an only gym that has proper barbells & weights,abusing alcohol & drugs,losing about 20 pouns of muscle due to crazy lifestyle,being distracted by African,Russian,other girls,having to attain court due to accused of inflicting bodily harm,aclimatisation to Spanish diet & climate ( very hot summers for East European),other shit…
Most important is that I am strong psychologicaly and determined to reach 100 kg snatch. :)))

You can say,its a long way from 70 kg to 100 kg in snatch,but I base my optimism on following factors

1.my current snatch form is solid…I just feel the ease at executing triples at 3 rm …the barbell seems to fly

2.I want to increase my muscle mass to build the bigger engine

3.I have a lot of experience in training

4.I love Oly lifts

I had no idea why this thread was so long and apparently popular, but first I see all sorts of off topic posts by some of our finest lifters like Koing, Kroll, dfreezy…folks I remember from a couple years ago. And then I was curious what happened to Balbo’s 75 to 70kg snatch “progress.”
I will give you credit Balbo, your excuses make for entertaining reading, and makes me feel less crazy about the reasons I had for stopping lifting for a year. I’m curious…which girl was the MOST distracting? :slight_smile: Doc

Balbo, how much do you weigh? Seriously mate, pack on the weight and get A LOT stronger, with your good form you should be bale to increase 15kg within a year if not faster since your back on it now! DO IT!
