My New Office

Well that took about 1 second to figure out!

Must admit the non-varsity top threw me for a while.

I’ll have to pop in and say hello next time I’m down there for a confrence or reffing in the area.

Hey WolBarret,

I can’t work out if you’re tounge in cheek or not - But either way you ought to know that we have an olympic lifting platform and 750kg of weights plates. (more on the way soon)

We’re also massive fans (and implementers) of westside and tier-training programs.

Am I forgiven?

What the hell is it? Looks like a high priced floral shop.

Don’t post this garbage in Strength Sports forum, Mr. We’re about lifting heavy weights and we take it seriously.

Be gone and take your floral shop with you.[/quote]

This is why you shouldn’t post until you are sure the OP is finished.

I wanted to quote this and preserve your sillyness.

Hey 32,

The flippant (but literal) answer is - about 140% of what we budgeted! (No one ever remembers to include things fire extinguishers, security doors, skips and femine hygiene bin contracts when they’re sitting down to plan their fist gym, right?

I’d love to tell you the answer, but I wouldn’t want to do it on a public forum, it just doesn’t feel right. Besides, my parents don’t even know

I promise you that the answer is ‘bl**dy cheap’ really, and it’s all been down to friends, relatives and kind-hearted people who have believed in what we’re trying to do. Everything has been blagged, haggled and negotiated down.

Hey DrSTU,

Cool - drop by and say hello. You wear a red dress and I’ll be recognisable by my red flower broach.

(That was a parody of a lonely hearts ad in case it didn’t translate well

Nice facility Coredan. Congrats and good luck.

Phillip (Phil?) - Thanks mate, I appreciate you taking the time to write that.

I think we’ll need a bit of good luck and fortune; it’s all too easy to throw the doors open to ANOTHER CV-kit filled health club, sign up a gazillion people to a 12-month contract and laugh your way off to the bahamas.

The UK investment in grass-roots sport is pitiful. We can’t wait to start youth talent assessment and coaching, to give access to this type of facility to up and coming athletes and sports teams/individuals. Meanwhile, we can bring proper (T-Nation-style) training to the everyday public.

It’s going to be great fun, but not easy!

Don’t worry it came across as perfectly normal!

I’ll probably be wearing a skanky lab coat though.

The UK has a couple of really good gyms, just be careful that you don’t rely too much on short term contracts with people. I realise that it’s easy to poke fun and laugh at gyms that take 12 month contracts from people, but at least the funds are garuanteed that way. I wish you the best of luck and according to a certain rugby teams website, there are only 266 days left until the big one against the dark blues, better train them hard.

STU

It looks VERY COOL.

Congrats!

Koing

Thanks Koing!

That place is the balls. It looks like the Parisi Speed School. Did you model after them by any chance?

Awesome place man! Congratulations!

I want to be your neighbor

I don’t even know what Tongue in Cheek means.

I respect you’re Gym/Floral Shop.

You can do box squats and buy a bouquet of roses afterwards.

You are forgiven.

Awesome facility coredan. Congrats.

Potentially one of the most confusing posts I’ve seen. I truly hope you are joking with all of the above…

…WolBarret’s Grand Response…

The peacock will never understood the howls of the Walrus. Just sit back and let it soothe your weary mind, Kuz.

You can’t understand what is beyond the beyond.

It’s amazing just how quickly a T-Nation thread can take a dive off into a surreal tangent, isn’t it

Thanks for the support guys; I’ll follow up with more photos when I can.

Awesome setup mate. I only wish i had somewhere like that to train…
