YES!!! One thing I gotta say, Lula, I totally dig your attitude towards life. delete delete delete is a great idea. I always think its good to recognize your negative feelings - invite them in, have a chat with them, and then send them on their way

Still strong as fuck I see. Incredible! I covet your DLs, for real!! And your squats!

I’m still thinking about the belt myself. If I get one I’ll def get the same one you got. Gonna wait a little though - see if the PLing sticks. Until then its Ultra Raw!!!

Kill it on the practicals!

Lula, I like the Marston. You got good soul.

Belt update:

Ok-I go back and forth…Ive been using it on my working sets for DLs and squats. No really set point that I decide to put it on, just when I feel that I need it. DLs I definitely like the support on the higher weight, and can figure out how to push out against it. Squats I have a harder time because I must suck in to stabilize instead of out. Plus I dunno, it makes me have to pee on squats. It jams into my hips a bit, but for the most part, I give it a big A.
Well my first pointer (& I know nothing about using belts) would be to make sure you go pee before you squat. Ok probably not really helpful. It is a nice belt though, I’m probably going to have to use one eventually and you’ve set the lifting-belt fashion standard higher for me (& I’m not a fashion person at all).
Expanding on this, also make sure you poop, squatting with a tight belt and a full colon aint a good move…trust me. TMI? I did it again with the acronyms my bad lol
I hadn’t thought of that one, but I believe its a good one to put on the checklist.

Lula, I’m glad you are done with all that kind of talk (I’m trying too), my new goal is to get rid of any should’ve, would’ve or could’ves in my head, at least the way I’ve been using them.

git: agreed, I think we all need reminding every now and then.

matty: you’re too adorable to get upset about the acronyms. go nuts.

oleena:poop seems to be a recurring topic for me…bringing the sex appeal, that’s clearly what i’m here. (if you’re into blumpkins or space docking, this doesn’t need to be sarcastic)

mim: Thanks! I keelt it!

Masch: Ultra raw + tampon! A very important piece. And thanks lady. Hey I wanted to ask, what shoes are you squatting in in your vids? Are those your oly shoes?

print: thank you, that’s got to be one of the best compliments I’ve gotten on here.

mini: onward and upward, right! >high five chest bump!<<

A little bit of everything…

Squat:
Barx10
95x5
115x5
SS**box jumps

135x5
150x5
170x10

DL
135# 2x10

Bench:
Barx10
65x5
75x5
85x5
100x5
115x5
85x12

The smallest dip/push up pyramid ever: 2,4,6,6,4,2

Spin tabata
Incline walking

Felt super nauseous after today, and it wasn’t even that much! Perhaps I’m not totally healed.

Squats:
-I won’t sound the alarm quite yet. There were a lot of factors today that could have added up to such a crap performance. My erectors wouldn’t shut the fuck off (from bad pulling on Tuesday) and I had a hard time remaining upright. I think this added to cutting them short too. Ugh. But I still feel like my squats are moving in the wrong direction. I’m going to look into what I’m doing differently from 4 months ago, this is getting old.
-A guy changed my plates for me, how nice! I am woman, hear me rawr, yes…but I do love me a gentleman.

DL:
Meant as accessory but my back couldn’t take it, stopped it early. booooooo

Bench:
Felt pretty solid. um, that’s all.

Life:
-Absolutely killlled my practical today. If you need your sacrum adjusted by a complete newbie, i’m totally your girl.
-I figure the benefit of this week of feeling like a weakass, I’m due for feeling like wonder woman pretty soon here. annnnytime now.

Damn girl. That’s a lot of compound movements and a ton of volume to be doing on a day where your back was already a little off.

Very cool that a guy offered to change your plates for you  I had that happen to me when I was benching, going from a whopping 65# to 75#. Do I need help putting on a 5# plate? No. But he seemed like such a cute kid I let him do it anyways. Poor little highschooler (who was taller than me by a foot!) probably had no idea I was almost 10 years older than him.

Woo for an awesome job on your practical!! Now, what you need to do is give your body a de-stress period, k? You’ve put it under a lot of pressure with school, being sick and still pushing your workouts. RELAX!!

Shit I had to google Sacrum, for a second I thought you said Scrotum!

Im happy you aced your practical, one less thig on your plate…

Your squat looked really good to me, I get erector pain as well from DLing, it could be one small movement and my erectors swell up and freeze my whole back up.

I am feeling the same way but opposite, I have been feeling pretty damn strong lately so I knew I was due for a week of sickness and eratic training…

I think you will be back to Super Woman status by Saturday the latest!

I cant belive I read blumpkin in this log

I work with a dude who sports a blumpkin yes t-shirt

that is alot of everything in that session.
I am like one in five for training awsomeness

are you a chiropractic student? or similar
I was but I dropped out and did a massage license instead
but now I make television - go figure.

little bit of everything goes a long way sometimes…great stuff as always!

Squats, hat, ponytail, & tail feather are a total ‘Peep this.’ <----- That’s a good thing.

Let’s talk sacrum. I just read recently of a homeopathic remedy for that particular area. Or back pain in general. Tell me what you think.

Apply castor oil to the inflamed area, wrap saran wrap around it & than apply heating pad for 30mins. Supposedly works wonders. Thinkin’ this weekend may be a good time to try this. Hoping I don’t have to fight the geezers to get the last bottle.

Good work at school yesterday, yay!!!

WOAH that guy jumping with the weight beside you kinda threw me off at first, LOL.

YOU ARE SEXY BTW.

Your squats looked fine to be as well??

I always have these high expectations that I SHOULD feel like wonder woman aLLLL the time. I always think, NO I AM DIFFERENT. I can do shit tons o’ volume without any consequence and I will still feel super awesome amazing everyday.

LIfe doesn’t actually work like that, apparently. You’ll get your groove back though, this I knoW!

After talking to nlmain I have decided I am getting a “don’t bug me” lifting hat, and now after watching you I have decided i want it to be red.

You could adjust my sacrum anytime.

From my position on the couch, on week 3, day 3 of bronchitis I’m going to guess that the strep illness isn’t completely gone yet or that your body is still catching up after fighting the illness so hard. Don’t be hard on yourself. Soon we’ll both be feeling like BAMFs again!

Pixie: I know…I haven’t been very smart with my body lately, trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, is the expression, I think. This next week is my 5/3/1 week, then I’ll let it destress. I promise. I did turn down a snowboarding trip this weekend, so I’m being at least a little smart (but sad lula). :frowning:

Matty: If you need scrotum help, I mean, I’m sure I could be of assistance. I did dissect one last summer in gross anatomy, but I promise not to come at you with any scalpels. That back pain is the worst! I’ve never had it that bad, even stairs were tough to navigate! Ugh.

KMC: Blumpkin shirt sounds awesome, I should google that and see where i can get one. It was a lot in one session, I’m still playing with a new schedule and somehow all 3 kind of ended up on the same day. I’m in school to be a physical therapist. One more blessed semester then a year of clinical work. I’m interested to know how you made the switch from chiropractor to TV man?!

HARA: Thanks! That day ended up being kind of weird, I kind of like focusing on one body part rather than the whole enchilada.

Print: Thanks! And I thought you were pulling my leg at first with the castor oil. I’ve honestly never heard of that and don’t see exactly how it would work, but it looks to be a pretty well known homeopathic cure. Let me talk to my spine professor next week to get his opinion. In the meantime, let me know how that works for you!!

MIM: THANKS

Spock: haha, me too! He had some scary normal squats so I was frightened when he started jumping. I’m the same way, rules do not apply to ME. Argh. I guess sometimes they do. And YAY red hat! I’m a little obsessed with collecting hats these days.

Kimba: Great! Now just sign on the dotted line…I was just wondering how you’ve been faring, UGH, so frustrating to still be fighting off the bronchitis. I know a few people who have been dealing with the same thing…I wonder if this warmer winter we’ve had didn’t kill all the germs so we’ve got like, superbugs floating around now?!

Did some incline walking this morning and a boat load of foam rolling. Stupid trainer #1 made a comment to me not to be a ‘lazy ass’ and I basically told him to fuck off. Apparently he wasn’t informed that Lula doesn’t take shit anymore.

Inspired by Nadia, I wanted to see what my back looked like.

Had to get into my old floor routine starting pose. cue music

^Yes please.

<----------Sweaty palms…Rapid heartbeat…

Ummmmmmm The power of word would not do justice to that pic. I’ll have to find it in song.

Holy shit! (said in a low, guttural voice)
