My 10 Week Cut w/ Weekly Progression Photos

Well guys and girls,

I’m officially starting to gain some weight back. I had upped my carb intake, adding calories to my cut diet, and actually lost another 1-2lbs over the past week or so. I got as low as I’m going to get for a loooooong time now, at 186.4lbs on the digital scale two days in a row.

I’m going to be forced to add another calorie bump to my diet in order to get the weight moving. I’ll probably update this thread from time to time, but I’ve also started a workout journal for those interested in the way I train and my thoughts on the training game in general.

Thanks for all the positive comments so far and thanks for McG for a few good laughs to myself.

Great job man, keep up the good work.

i see validity in a certain angle of mcg’s post. forget the numbers about bf and how many lbs were or weren’t lost…this guy would have to have less bone density than a 90 year old granny with osteoperosis and a lifetime of floating in a jar of soda to be 6ft tall at less than 190.
bro take a picture with you in shoes, stomping that crap scale you have, then march down to the store in said shoes and buy another scale and a measuring tape! i’m your height, 220 and leaner than most; your pic looks pretty thick to me. if your weight doesn’t change that blows my mind and i’m rarely surprised any more. and as for the whole low carb diet drying you out…i’m a nutritionist, pes and ces with a degree in exercise physiology and i can tell you while it will lean you out if your activity and stress levels stay constant, the direct result of dryness (water weight) is more likely attributed to making your other ‘‘diet’’ foods more bland (less salts, seasonings, poor carb choices) and eating less overall and thus less water needed to displace waste products. something isn’t right, not calling you a liar, but something ain’t right, haha! all that aside your physique is pretty sick, great fullness!
Well, as far as my ‘crap scale,’ I weigh myself at 3 different locations on a regular basis. One scale is a beam style, which is highly accurate. Two scales are digital, and are consistent all the time.

I’m really entertained by the fact that even a professional like yourself can’t phathom the fact that I’m 188ish in the final few pictures. I have to disagree with you when you say ‘something ain’t right.’ I do very well with my own nutrition and training, base my career around my knowledge of nutrition and training, and influence 100s of others on a daily basis who are happy with their nutrition and training.

There is nothing I can do about the fact that I have always weighed less than what I appear. My frame is naturally very thin. Any hint of sizeable mass is a sign of hard work and dedication for me, as it is definitely against my genetic body type.

I really don’t mind taking a ‘shoe pic.’ Should I write a note with your username on it and put it by my feet as well to verify they are really my feet on the scale? I’m not sure of the T-Nation shoe pic guidelines. Please fill me in.

On another note, thanks for the positives of your post.

First, your progress pics are awesome. Second, haters who can’t back their shit up with pictures or lift videos just float around this place hatin’ on people who make progress. Best way to deal with them is to just ignore them. Welcome to the interwebz where socially inept people fight their very best battles! Hope you post more pics as you go along so we can see how you’re doing. Thanks Beans for posting this elsewhere or I wouldn’t have found it.

OP do you naturally have gyno?

Batman, my troll alert is going off.

One, there is no way that guy is 6ft and only weighs 190ish. Two, he says he lost around 13 lbs. If he started at around 12.5% bodyfat he would have had about 175lbs of lean body mass. If he lost 10lbs of fat and 3lbs of muscle, his final bodyfat % would have been about 8%. There is no way that week 10 pic is at 8%.
Why dont you try his program before you knock the results. I and several other people use the GST program and have had great results. The lifts and reps are set up in a way that allows you to not only build muscle but burn a good amount of fat as well. This is largely do in part to the fact that for example, you start out with 2 sets of 8 reps, on the 3rd set you go until muscle failure. It works and again dont knock results until you try something.

I wasn’t knocking the results. I wasn’t even commenting on the program. I was saying the numbers he gave regarding height and weight don’t match up with the pictures. I believe this guy is legit but the pics aren’t of him. He is starting to workout and wonders if his goals are acceptable.

Yes, and it sucks. I remember having odd nipples all the way back in grade school… If I’m holding a little bit of fat, its there.

Are you kidding me?! You don’t think the pics of actually of me, the person typing this stuff? You really don’t know much about me, so you really have no clue. I’ve come across some haters, but you’re the first who thinks I’m posting somebody else’s pics…lol. Good stuff man, but try again.

You keep up the bullshit, I’ll be busy workin hard. Feel free to add me on Facebook so you can see that I’m the guy in the pics. Ryan Miller from Minnesota. I’ll be waiting.

Thanks Robbie! This is what happens when you treat people well and provide them with working training information. You find that people will stick up for you when necessary, and I would return the favor if needed.

Thanks again Robbie. This McG guy is entertaining, but thats about it. Don’t take him seriously, as he’s doing nothing but assuming things.

Seriously? You dont think its him? Never mind the fact that there is a Thread on BB.COM dedicated to his workout, Or the fact that he has a bodyspace with more pics of himself, or a facebook, Ryan you are either the worst case scenario of a stalker with all these photos you have or, God forbid…someone can look like that at 187lbs, its a friggen miracle. Act of God almighty. The parting of the red sea didnt have shit on this guys numbers huh.

PS Ryan, I need a link so I can get fake pictures, I wanna beef up my bodyspace so maybe, JUST MAYBE, Jamie Eason will give me her phone #.

Your a tool homeslice. Lighten up. Do you have a complex or something? I mean seriously, obviously people know this guy, know his program and know that his methods work as well as anyother workout you can get and its a lot cheaper, and look how much access you have to the guy. I havent even paid him for his ebook on GST yet and he still offers to help me out with my routine. That says alot about character, not really trying to flame you but rather stating the obvious in saying that character is something you lack, in a serious sense anyways. You are pretty hilarious. I think this thread was called rate my physique not “Call me a liar and make predictions about my bf%/ratio of water weight to muscle lost in my cut”. But then again I imagine that you are a person who knows absoutely everything. I bet if I could put you and someone else like you in a room to talk at the end of the conversation one of you knew Jesus Christ personally and the other has mastered quantum physics to the “T”. I think life would be a little more grand if you could ease up with the douchebag vibe you give off. Just a tad…

OK.

Quick shot from yesterday.

I’m sitting right around 190lbs in this picture. I haven’t really put on any significant weight yet, but my calories are definitely above where they’ve been at. I’m averaging 3400-3500 calories per day right now.

I’ve taken pictures of all my meals for the past 2 weeks or so, but its too much of a pain to post them up on this site…

Lookin real good man. Props.

I don’t remember what people told you (if anything) as far as physique critique, but it looks like your tris (long head esp.) could use some more meat.

But who am I to talk haha.

I have been adding in some direct tricep work to my GST routine, and it is paying off. I do pressdowns for now, nothing else though.
