Bummer about Branch. Think Phil might edge it. Jay seems to have reverted to his classic chunky waist look.
Huh?
First. He never really ditched that look, as he cant. His hips are wide as a mailbox. His waist isn’t big for his bone structure. I’m not saying he has the ideal proportions of the best bodybuilder either.
Second. Those pics are 4 weeks out. A bodybuilder’s waist will shrink in a whole MONTH before a contest.
Jay looks better in those pics, in terms of symmetry and proportion than he has in the past 3 years. He’s a lock if he comes in conditioned. And there’s every reason to believe he will. Still using the same prep coach and he already looks like his skin is very tight/holding minimal water. No current contenders have a structure that can beat him. Evan does but he’s not competing. I gotta agree with everything said here.
As long as conditioning is on, Kai and Phil cant match Jay on stage. Anyone been watching his prep videos on his website? Definitely looks like he’s on track to be the best Jay Cutler weve ever seen.

I can’t say I follow Mr. O all that much, but a local boy’s in the 202. Branden Ray works out at my gym, looks great (he’s nuts to look at off-season/bulking, amazing as he’s competing), and is a genuine nice guy.
And yeah, his deltoids are just crazy. That’s not the half of it though.
I know his uncle. Small world.
I know it’s all a business decision on the part of the IFBB, but having the prejudging and actual show on different days it ridiculous. All it does is force the competitors to screw around more in order to hold their peak for 48 hours. You can have a guy change as much as 20 lbs between Friday and Saturday night. I’m sure it’s completely healthy -lol.

Agreed. That must be hell. They already feel like shit to peak for the show…and then you ask them to put their bodies on hold for 2 days.
That ain’t happening without some extreme water manipulation…and no, that’t not healthy.
I can only imagine how much these guys must blow up after a show.

Anyone else notice (at least in the past 2 Olympias) that Cutler looks phenomenal just weeks before the O, but seems to lose that look on contest day?
I hope both Jay and Phil show up at their best ever, than this would make for an awesome show and I dont care who wins between the 2 they both deserve it imo
Jay actually reached out to Phil after one of his first shows (the Colorado?) and they became friendly. Knowing how close they’ve been over the years, makes me wonder how it’s going to be the day after the show if last year’s top two placings reverse order this year.
Ya awesome vids. I remember after Jay lost in 08 and evryone thought he was done, he would still flat out say he was a better BBer than Dex and he certainly has proved it. I’m really rooting for Phil but I feel the only way he wins is if Jay doesn’t come in 100%. I would like to see wolf and victor have a good showing too, very very small chance either wins though.
