I hope both Jay and Phil show up at their best ever, than this would make for an awesome show and I dont care who wins between the 2 they both deserve it imo
This. I hope the contest is as intense or even more than last year.

those videos were incredible Zraw.

A couple of class acts right there.

Speaking on the Olympia; I’m just waiting for my boi Cedric McMillan to start working with his potential and take out the Olympia crown in a few years. He’s going to bring tall BB back baby!

Man…i’m excited for the O this year. Phil does look nuts, i’m done nitpicking the guy, he looks amazing, wonder what Jay will look like, wonder what an ‘on’ Kai brings…love to see Victor in his best shape ever. If he could ever really bring it he’s be tough to beat, his clavicles are so wide, amazing shoulders, chest, arms.

The young bodybuilder who took top 5 at NY Pro, Lionel Beyeke…he’s someone to watch in the next few years. I’ll be rooting for Kai but it’s really hard to not root for Phil, what he’s done since 2002 is amazing, most guys have been at this for decades, he’s grown a lifetime is a few years!

x2

Loved the jay/phil videos. Both incredible, it should be a good watch this year. Hope everyone competing comes in conditioned and it’s just the best man winning, but I agree Jay will be hard to beat if that is the case.

makes me wonder how it’s going to be the day after the show if last year’s top two placings reverse order this year.

I would hope there would be a glimmer of pride mixed in with pissed off, lol.

But as to thoae two… If you buy into the whole “you have to knock out the champ” ideal, I just don’t think Phil can beat a conditioned Jay standing next to eachother. It will be too close to be a knockout…

I still believe Jay will take it. Phil will come in a close second.

That art video posted from Jay just shows how freaking massive he is, add his contest shape and he has great chances of taking it. Phil will sure get it next year though, he is younger than Jay and since he managed to make such a freakish transformation in such short time then the changes he can make in 1 year will sure grant him the O.

Is anyone planning on going for any of the days? I am going to be in town just on thus and i was thinking about stopping by for the meet.

Interesting video of Jay Cutler and Evan Centopani training together. Jay is basically calling Evan the ‘next guy’ to take over Jay’s reign. Here Jay is giving Evan some tips - I found 3:20 onwards of the second clip quite interesting. Evan inquiries whether Jay’s progression in size over the years has been correlated with an increase in the weights he’s lifting - Jay says no. Then Jay goes on about how even though YOU can curl 100lbs or whatever doesn’t mean you should. He’s stressing how important feeling and contracting the muscle is. There needs to be a fluidity in the movement to stimulate the muscles.

I also think the video shows off Jay’s likeability. You really see that he is down to earth and kind of laid back and cool. He seems to be genuinely interested in conversing and helping out Evan.

I want Phil to take it, but I agree with you from what I’ve seen so far.

Cutler’s size is unreal, I seriously feel like I’m watching a Marvel movie with those clips above. Straight up Super Hero status with his size.

Wow after watching those videos Phil just seems like a really nice and grateful guy.
Couldn’t agree more.

I loved the fact that he keeps his silver medals separate from his gold, and views them as failure. The fact that he has the empty gold frame to for the 2011 medal is also unbelievably powerful.

No matter who takes it between Jay and Phil, they definitely deserve it.

Just one thing that jumped out at me in that first of two Cutler/Centropani vids. At about the first minute or so, they’re warming up on what looks like a HS incline press.

When Jay sits down, there are two plates on there. Obviously easy, light weight for Jay, but he even has intensity and squeeze and focus on those ‘easy’ w/u reps. He is obviously connected mentally to his body and focused to squeeze every bit of usefulness out of every rep.

Not one wasted rep.

I think cumulatively over a career, that must account for some X-factor.

Then again, maybe it’s just for the camera.

I was thinking the same thing, Steely. I’m not a Jay fan, but the man has years of experience, knows his body extremely well and the right stimulus for it.

Good vids. You can only progress with one aspect so far. Note he talks about still progressing in endurance.

An interesting thing I’ve noticed is that big experienced guys generally tweak lifts to make them harder (squeaz, slower and controlled, est), where weak small guys do things to make them easier (reducing ROM, cheating, est).

I enjoyed the evan and jay vids. I particularly liked jay saying “you can curl the 100s… but you don’t do it” because all I could think was: WELL UNLESS YOUR WAYLANDER. SEATED BITCHES
