There are too many factors at play here. With everything Jay does for the bodybuilding industry/ public image of bodybuilding, I don’t see them shafting him.)
I keep seeing people say this.
What is Jay doing for the public image of bodybuilding that this is why he needs to win again?
I thought the point was clear. He does public appearances etc and is well known. He sells more supplements than anyone. We’re talking about a lot of revenue here. Can Phil Heath do the same? Maybe, but why risk it.

OK…I haven’t seen that many public appearances.
I am not sure how youtube hits factor into this directly considering the reasons some people could be watching.
98% of those views are just people who wanted to see more of them tits (and i aint talking about cutler’s tits)
anyone can sell supps. infact the leading supp products are not even affiliated with a bodybuilder.
public view on bodybuilding is a waste of time. 90% of the people walking around are fat slobs, who know nothing or couldnt care less about bodybuilding, will never watch it and for them Brad Pitt is a mass monster. no mr. olympia will change that fact. i have 4000 sports channels on my sat and none of them air the Olympia, yet gayish women horse riding is on.
Heath is pretty active promoting himself and selling his own merch. Saw a vid where he talked about signing stuff and shipping out dvds and merch. I dont think he will have any problem becoming as popular as cutler once he gets his sandow
His arms at 01:36 look alien! and yes, he was wide even when young.
I suspect all those trainers were right - training legs does train the core muscles… With the current standards for leg and back size, I dont see how they can have a Zane-like waist.
Heath should win over Jay, based on the comparison clip shown above. Look at the shadows his back muscles throw, compared with Jay’s. More 3D, more bulges and bumps.
I would like to see Heath take it. We know from previous years that it’s very hard to beat the reigning Mr.O, but it might happen. I’m not personally a fan of Cutlers physique. Still, it’s unrealistic to think Heath is a lock at this point. I’d still put my money on Cutler taking it down one last time.
I think Phil would be great at Mr. O. From watching his interviews he’s so humble and grateful. He’s educated as well and is a better speaker than Jay IMO.

Hey, QB… why the hate? LOL
I think Phil as Mr O would be great for the sport. Consider the guy was once a great basketball player. BBing’s public image could improve.
What hate? I keep saying I want Heath to win. I’m also listing a few reasons why it’s reasonable to think the Olympia judges will disappoint us again.
Ronnie lost the O to Jay because his left lat had atrophied and thrown off his symmetry. Ronnie is the most well know and famous BBer of all time. If jay could take the title from Ronnie in such a fashion there is absolutely no reason that they would let Jay retain the title “just because” given significant delt, bicep and leg symmetry issues that are more apparent than in any year previous. Espeically with Phil at his all time best.
There is way too much emphasis put on politics in this sport when no one in here has any idea if that’s the case. The fact that people on here think they have an insiders look into the politics of the sport and what the judges are thinking is asinine.

I’m the one who first mentioned that Jay would probably get the nod even if he was a little off because off how much promoting he does and how popular he is plus the fact he is the reigning champ and i figure the less people who win the Olympia the more prestigious the title remains.
But with that bicep strain throwing off his symmetry the gap between him and Phil has grown to big to even be debatable, even Kai looks better then him now. If not for the bicep strain he would probably retain the title even though his conditioning isn’t as good as the previous 2 years.
In closing i don’t think anyone here can deny that to beat the champ you can’t just be marginally better then him you have to lock it down tight and Phil has done that this year.

From following him on Facebook, it appears as though he travels around quite a bit making appearances all around the world.
Let’s not forget that Jay always looks better on the 2nd day. He has come from behind before.
The more he poses the better he starts looking. I believe Phil has it but counting Jay out is stupid. Wait till Phil holds the Sandow

I don’t see Jay winning his fifth O tonight because of his right quad, left bi and left delt but I still can’t see him dropping out of top two even if Vic and Kai look better. I still haven’t seen him side by side with Vic yet either. Ronnie didn’t drop out of the top 2 until he’d lost his first 0. I don’t know, I guess we’ll see tonight.
