I wonder what they feel like waking up this morning?
Anybody know what their meals would look like today?

Damn and Jay’s photos from a few weeks out looked amazin’.
That is why I’m thinking he is sick or something.
He looked aloof last night, maybe disinterested… But if he torn his Bi, that would make a lot of sense too.

I guess we’ll see tonight. Could have also been a bad site injection?

I think this statement is incorrect. I don’t think GH is the reason, at least not in itself, that Jay looks like that. For one, he has always had a wide waist. Two, he is nearly 40. I am pretty certain that if anyone were to carry that much muscle for two decades, their waist may get a little larger to compensate…especially if deadlifts were a major part of the routine for years.
Like you have said, age and genetics DO play a big role, but one cannot ignore the fact that bedybuilders who’ve had a very tight waist have balooned up and threw off their symmetry since GH has become as common as gatorade.
Coleman and Kai are good examples as you can clearly see how it affected their waist. while perhaps not as much as i think it has, clearly there is more to it than deadlifts and age.
This is still a huge jump to conclusions. Both of the guys you mentioned gaine din excess of 50lbs of solid muscle after they started competing.
Guess what, there is no way in hell my waist is ever going to be the size it was when I was 150lbs.
That isn’t because of GH. It is because the body I am walking in now is a completely different structure than back then.
I would bet just about anyone who gains in excess of 50lbs of lean body mass after already being big will see some size increase in the waist…and these guys have taken it to an extreme.
Jay was always wide.
LOL… I wouldn’t go as far as comparing Jay to Kovac, but the ab thigh pose (1:58) does remind me of that Kovac pic that was posted in some other thread.
Phil physique reminds me so much of my favorite and greatest of all time (Flex Wheeler)… Definitely happy with the future of the sport.
And Jay injected synthol in an attempt to match Phils arms…i kid i kid
If anyone looked like Kovacs, it was Evgeny Mishin. That was almost painful to watch, good condition but looked awful.
I saw some year to year comparisons of Jay’s FDB and the left bicep definitely looks like synthol. Aside from width and the front relaxed pose, Jay has nothing on Phil this year. I’m kind of hoping Jay still gets his 5th and decides to retire though.
Sheru Classic a week from now on India…should be interest if any of the placings change and if any competitors look significantly better but I’m not sure it has any effect on tonight. Nobody’s purposely holding themselves back at the O so they can place better at the Sheru. lol
My placings off last night…
I don’t see how we can ever take the Mr.O contest seriously again if Jay wins. Phil Heath looks out of this world.
I’m no expert on site injections, but wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what’s wrong with Jays bicep. It’s certainly being said on bodybuilding sites around the web.

I’d place Vic over Jay too, but I doubt the judges will.
Phil Heath’s look when he’s “just standing there” in all front shots where his arms are by his sides is just out of this world. Definitely one of my favourite “looks” ever in bodybuilding, even though Jay’s chest and delt size/width is just insane. Go Heath.

I’ve not seen much I like from judges in bodybuilding for several years. I am not sure what criteria they are using, but fair would have Jay coming in 4th or later from what I’ve seen.
Phil should have won last year.
Anyone who thinks he shouldn’t this year is likely really really stoned right now.

Yeah, I agree that Vic and Kai do look better than Jay now but I don’t know if the judges will drop him as far as they should. It will be interesting to see how much politics plays a role in things.
Jay still had it last year, this year, not so much. Phil looks like the clear winner. I’d actually put Vic as #2 based on what I saw last night. Teaming up with Aceto again seemed to really pay off. I haven’t seen him get that shredded in quite some time.
Yaxeni got robbed, I think. But this is the Mr. Olympia thread
LOL at people claiming GH makes your waist “bigger”…years of training, large amounts of food, and a big increase of muscle mass will add some size to your waist… However there are guys like Dexter, Wolf, and Phil that are able to maintain a smaller waist despite the above factors …Lets not forget that Genetics play a huge role in Bodybuilding!

Holy fucking shit, you have forty thousand posts. Just noticed that.
But yeah, Jay came in condition and he will probably win. The man sells a LOT of supplements, he came in lean, and he is the reigning Mr.O. Methinks Iron Dwarf will be voicing his outrage in this thread after a few more pages. I hope I’m wrong.
I hope you are too. It does seem that, now Jay suffered an injury (left shoulder, arm), it could tip the scale and give Phil his first Sandow. I personally think it is going to happen.

I think a lot of people, barring a total turn around from Jay and Phil fucking up tonight, will be very upset if jay wins.
I don’t even see the guy contending outside of third right now.

They don’t dethrone Mr.O unless he shows up out of condition.
There are too many factors at play here. With everything Jay does for the bodybuilding industry/ public image of bodybuilding, I don’t see them shafting him. Perhaps they make him retire next year, and let someone else take the Sandow then. What you have to ask yourself is; except us (a few posters on bodybuilding websites), who cares about Phil Heath? Can they make as much money with him as Mr.O as they can with Jay. C’mon, I thought you were supposed to be a savvy businessman

I keep seeing people say this.
What is Jay doing for the public image of bodybuilding that this is why he needs to win again?
