Mr. Olympia 2011

I’m finding it curious that people’s expectations of Kai slowly declined through the course of this thread.

I think Kai has enough mass to get either third or second. He may even pass Jay and Phil and take this one, it all depends how he shows up, although there aren’t enough pics out there showing his prep condition. Anyway, this year is gonna be entertaining. Jay has made a shitload of improvements, and Jesus fucking Christ, unreal quad sweep.[/quote]

Last year over half of the people on this site had him as a lock to win it. He f’d up his conditioning and paid the price. This year it’s as if people have wrote him off so maybe the opposite will occur, he will nail his conditioning and place well. This could be one of kai’s last shots, iirc he isn’t that young anymore. If jay loses does he retire?

I think if Jay wins, he would consider retiring ( the age problem also applies to him ), on the other hand, if he loses, he already proved he can make great changes even his is older than Heath and other competitors, so I wage he would try to reclaim the title before retiring.

I also wage last year was a lesson to Kai, no doubt he will come in better shape this year.

I highly doubt Jay will retire. He has given no indication he will or is even considering it. Unless I missed something?

I think he mentioned in a video that he planned to do so and try acting.

Yeah…Jay also said he would retire by the age of 30.

ACTING??
He’s more wooden than Keeanu Reeves!

I think he hinted in the Road to Olympia video he would retire if he got the his 5th olympia title. Not a hint per say, but he did made a comment about retiring or going for the 6th were he sounded a bit unsure about what would he do.

I don’t know if Jay has any injuries or extensive list of tears like Branch or Yates did, but it would be a smart move to retire after this win. Retiring or not I’ll keep being a fan. Who knows, maybe he can act well, Hollywood is in need of huge actors to stop this pretty boy i-got-abs bullshit.

He has no hope otherwise.

For his heigh,t his size is insane, if he can get peeled, he can certainly do damage. I mean, if he can get in better condition he will smoke phil, and I’m a big fan of phil. Kai’s back is a god damn parking lot.

I don’t know if he can knock off Jay, but top 3, certainly. But he has to be dry as a fucking bone, on Friday & Saturday. Not just Saturday.

(Understand I’m a huge Dexter fan, lol. Just so you all know where I’m coming from, which is apparently crazyville.)

lol, agreed, but he would need to lose 40-60lbs before any producer that wants to keep a paycheck woudl cast him.

Which I imagine he wouldn’t have too much of an issue with. Being that size has to be a bitch to be honest.

C’mon, no love for Johnny Jackson?

Best traps in the competition!

Johnnie has the best combo of chest and back in the world right now…I think a lot of strength athletes wanna look like Johnnie Jackson…but until his quads start to catch up he’s unlikely to do major damage at the Big Show.

Also…people seem to be writing off Dexter for top 5? I’m not a big fan of his compared to the other guys (I’m more of the ‘bring on the enormous freaks!’ persuasion)…but the guy always shows up in awesome condition. Sure, if everyone’s at their best ever, he could get pushed way down…but since that almost never happens he will probably be top 5.

jay looks better next to the sink then on the stage
hope he looks better on stage then previous years
dexter is still my favorite, hes so even, both his left and right side look 99% the same

well…saw the press conference and heard some insights and interviews. my take on things…

jay seems confident as he should, doesn’t looked as sucked down as he did in 09’ but his shoulders look huge, i think he might be trying to overwhelm with width…we’ll see how he look sfrom the back.

phil seems pumped, face seems full, he young so he may dry out w/out it showing in the face, we’ll see if he has that crazy V he’s spoke of w/ the added size but small waist. if he’s big and full wi;; his conditioning be off?

kai seems more settled this year less do or die, hoping actions speak louder than words. word on the street is that a leaked photo indicates he looks freaky, very sharp conditioning, just what he needs.

i expect victor to be sharp this year.

wolf will be the first guy out on stage for pre-judging, my guessis he looks sharp but his ligh lats and hamstrings will keep him out of the top 3.

dex is suppose to be sharp, perhaps in the 3-6 mix.

looks for shawn roden and marius dohne to make the top 10, guys like freeman and rockel might slip a bit, although rockel is usually very conditioned despite the stomach relax a bit recently.

Man I’ll be stoked if marius gets top 10!

Just stopping the strict eating will get him to drop weight in the first 1-2 months

Well, Cutler brought a Sandow statue with him at the athlete’s conference,… seems pretty damn confident!

S

I’d love to see a peeled Vic and Kai.

Me.

Does anybody know what the cash prizes are for different places?
