He doesn’t need to prove anything, look at his videos for proof. I don’t see him wasting any gift, he is doing what he enjoys to do simple as that. If someone is amazing at designing weapons that kill people should he do it even if he hated it? This is silly ethical questions that have no answer. He is enjoying what he does, I see no reason why he should stop or alter that.

I understand religion fine. Better than most actually. I don’t understand why one would follow certain rules but not others and use their religion as the reason they aren’t pursuing what they say they want to pursue. Not trying single you out Newb, your strength is impressive anyway you slice it.

I have asked my parents the same thing as far as only “sinning” when it doesnt benefit us but never “sinning” when it benefits us.

they said that its different. one is a “sin” in passion. The other isnt.

I truly, seriously truly, am glad that you dont feel the same way I do. I wish it was the same for me. Allot of things in life dont make sense. Im actually somewhat ashamed to tell people these things because I see things your way aswell. What I do makes no sense at all by a logical standpoint. But religion isnt a logical thing in its self.

its brain washin to the fullest extent of the world. I like to think that most people in my situation would have problems with the same thing but I dont know anyone in my situation.

at the moment Im doing everything I can to prove my lifts without actually going to a meet on saturday and having a judge verify the lifts. So far these things have been enough to satisfy me. Apparently they are not enough for allot of people, but to say Im doin the best I can in my circumstance with my “morals” I think we can all agree is true.

weed is annoying to get, I used to smoke allot when I had dealers but now I dont hand out with that crowd of people. The other thing is the source I have now seems to be unreliable. Like every time I would buy it the guy expected it to be the last time. More of a favor than a job for the guy. Sometimes take a few days just to get a quarter.

However, if I did have weed I would probably get a vaporiver and supplement it to get better sleep and more food.

all these people talk about weed raiseing estrogen etc. The way I see it more food and better sleep out weigh’s the small ammount of raised estrogen I might get from smoking.

this of course is speaking from a lifting standpoint. I clacify it like I would steroids (all though weed isnt anywhere NEAR as dangerous or damaging). They have some bad, can be used wrong, raise estrogen, and arent needed. But can help you reach the next level. Of course were talking about weed here and not steroids so they would only help you reach the next level if you lack rest or nutrition but I think you get my point.

in a perfect world I would probably smoke after I lifted (usually sick to my stomache after lifting) and before dinner to help me sleep and get that last meal in.

your lucky you dont understand, or at least see it, the way I do.

it is really not something to be desired. I dont hang out with friends on saturday or friday night which isnt fun at all, I dont lift on saturday, dont buy things on saturday, dont do allot of things.

Im not gonna try and tell you my religion is right and your wrong etc. Because thats just dumb for me to say. But to give you a better idea of my religion Il tell you some things about it.

I have never celebrated
a single birthday
christmas
halloween
easter
or any of the other holidays normal people do
I dont eat pork
I dont shelfish, shrimp, crab, duck and allot of other things
have never and will never get a tattoo

these are all things I would like to do but dont, and I view them as strongly as I do not lifing on saturday. my religion limits me to more things than just powerlifting meets.

it isnt something I picked, you only hear me complain about powerlifting because Im here because of powerlifting so I talk about it.

If I can deal with these things while knowing how stupid they sound the people readint this log should at least be able to deal with not giving me crap for not lifting on saturday.

Anyway, the whole things pretty pathedic to be honest. Not something I like to talk about for obvious reasons.

if anyone is wondering what kind of religion that this is, my grandfather aboiut 40 years ago was a minister for the world wide church of god. Got infront of thousands of people to preach. He iis a very hard headed individual. the church started changing their beliefs and him and a group of other people left because they felt strongly about their beliefs. this has now turned into almost a cult of a few people with quite radical beliefs on religion. They believe that this small church of like 15 people is the only people who truly know the truth etc and end of days type shit. I grew up believeing this, this isnt a normal feel good religion.

When I said I ws deeply disturbed about religion earlier I wasnt kidding.

805x1 probably could have done 850, with knee wraps and a few more workouts under my belt I could do a good bit over 900. Even crack the 1000lb mark. All though I would never attempt that under anything less than ideal circumstances.

I would need a monolift, in a power rack, with competent spotters, someone to wrap my knee’s for me etc. But I could see my self doing 1000 off that 20" box without working to hard at all for it.

hes 19

he did the same height box squat with knee wraps at 700 but it was a grinder

he has deadlifted 650 hitched 645 clean

benched 420 with his ass coming up and a bounce

However, when we started he weighed 80lbs more than me, now i weigh 60lbs more than him. So you can see why Im lifting more. I also took strength gain more seriously than him.

on a side note, I did pull my pec the other day. Gonna take a full 6 days off from last workout again.

Also, I got patella tendon pain after the squat. So Im going to have to limit leg work to one a day a week. Im gonna stick with benching once a week for a while as well.

But Im gonna wait a few weeks before all this shit goes into effect, Im pretty sick right now. And Im injured and havent been training legs or anything so Im just going to ease back in for a while to all this shit.
