Mega Newbs Training Log

Sr. Newb, could you post your food intake for today? I am curious to know how much food it takes to keep progressing at your weight/strength level.

I dont eat the same things every day, infact if anyone else on this site ate like me they would weigh about 135 at 50% bf. I have a very slow metabolism.

I eat tons of carbs and unhealthy fats and hardly any protein. The only thing I really do as far as diet is

1: eat when im hungry and eat until Im completley full
2: make sure I eat enough before I lift to have a productive workout

Seriously if I kept a diet log you would all laugh at me.

oh food intake for today

woke up at 11pm because i stayed up all night last night

breakfast/dinner lol
half lb ground beef
2 buns
2 pieces cheese
mayo

divided into 3-4 meals
block of cheese
2lbs ground beef
bunch of noodels
half stick of butter

I may hit wendys after I lift aswell

horible diet, I like to think once I get my diet fixed, start cardio and a smart training program/appropriate supplement use I will be able to lose allot of fat while gaining muscle/strength.

Are you still going to compete before you turn 18?

[quote]Gael wrote:

I would have competed 10+ times already if I could have, my dream has literally been crushed and I no longer care. If you think that sucks imagine how I feel devoting so much time and effort into it.

It happened a few months ago, I realized that I will never be able to compete on saturday without feeling wrong and that all strongman/sports/powerlifting is done on saturday. And that I mine as well give up the dream. In a period of 2 days I went from wanting to be the strongest man on the planet to not giving a shit anymore.

Yes, very depressing indeed.

Today

Bench
135x5
225x5
315x3
435x6 should have warmed up more i think

incline
135x5
225x5
315x3
350x5

dumbell shoulder press, arms to paralel
25x10
50x10
75x5
100’sx28

side laterals
25x10
50x5
75x5
100’sx7

pec deck
stackx50

pushdown
stackx50

hammer strength shoulder press
135x50

solid workout…

God Damnit, a few months ago I said to my friend, an IPF lifter, “This kid is going to smash Andy Bolton’s 1003 some day.”

My friend responded “This kid will never compete. His numbers are too good to be true.”

I said “He’s legit. You wait and see.”

My friend – “I hope your right, but in all likelihood he will either disappear from the internet or provide a reason why he won’t ever compete. Just wait.”

What a let down.

Edit: I am not accusing you of being a fake, you are probably legit, but I’m just pissed that no one will ever get to know for sure. This blows.

Why would you “feel wrong”?

I think it should be obvious that Newb’s joking. What do you mean about being legit, either? He’s got plenty of video proof. Haha.

actually im not kidding,

I have churh on saturday, we dont believe in doing any work etc on the “day of rest”. Basically th religion I have grow up in stops me from competeing on saturday and friday nights.

The only meets I have EVER found have been on saturday, and I have looked ALLOT.

Im not squating or deadlifting right now anyway, so I cant have the numbers I did before.

We all have those things that are just morally wrong to us, we wont mollest kids, we wont hit girls, punch a guy wearng glasses etc. This is just one of those things to me…

Like said before if you think its dumb, you cant even imagine how I feel about it.

here are some recent vieo’s just for shits and giggels

405 smith spotted shoulder presses

100lb side laterals (cheating)

100’sx28 shulderpress to paralel (no form, all over theplace)

150lb hammer curls (cheating)

Il get some video’s of 725 shrugs today, 675 hamer strength rows, and 110lb curls today.

On a side note, my shoulders ache, time for prehab for the rest of my life and strehing/more back and rear delt work.

everylift I ever claimed has been what was stated, I may have cheated more than may be pictured (bounce when I bench, dont go that low on shoulder press, lifting straps etc) but my lifts are real. I only workout at school or the gym so they arent fake plates.

I suppose I could make matching fake dumbells and plates for both locations, but that would cost allot of money for something so stupid.

That 405X15 Cheat Bench was one of the more impressive things I’ve ever seen anyone do.

Watch out, though. There’s a dude whose got you beat by 5 reps

I think he’s kind of a big deal. But at the rate you put on strength, you should have 405X20 in no time if you ever choose to do a set like that again.

This is the internet. There are a million ways to fake everything. How does anyone know you’re 17? That’s why powerlifting competitions exist. The only way to prove anything is through a legit competition.

If you are real – and I think you are – you need to prove it. Do you want the current teen record holders to continue to live in a false paradise, thinking they are the strongest?

You will not always hold your religious convictions as strongly as you do at 17. No one does. But by the time you wise up, it will be too late.

And, I think you meant to link here, fightingscott: - YouTube

It’s all fair enough. There is no rush IMO anyway. I won’t patronise you. Have you ever watched the movie “Invincible” by the way? It’s about a Jewish strongman in Germany, quite inspirational.

I think it might be quite inspirational for you, it was for me.

well I dont care enough to go through the effort to fake the stuff I do.

this is my gym

4212 Commercial Way
Spring Hill, FL 34606

so if anyone ever comes by there I would be happy to lift with them, as long as they arent creepy as hell and ask me to push them over their head and all that gay shit.

To be honest I used to care allot about competeing, looked forward to it all the time couldnt wait. Now I dont care anymore really, I cant squat or deadlift my best anymore, my bench would take 10 weeks to get good at maxing and pausing and get my feet flat on the floor before I could compete in most feds. Most feds dont allow knee wraps etc. I need to get my grip stronger to deadlift allot and all that crap. I really just lift for fun, and its fun right now so Im pretty much content. Not that if someone told me there was a meet that wasnt on saturday and I had enough time to train for it that I wouldnt do it. I would, but I have to find the meet first.

They had 175lb dumbells, sooo

dumbell row
75x10
100x10
175x40 large pr

barbell shrug
135x10
225x5
315x5
405x5
495x5
585x9 grp slipped even with straps, very smooth bars

175x40 video

for someone who doesnt train them, Im happy. Even tho they looked bad.

No offense man, but religions are man made. If there is a “God”, I’m sure he’d want you to maximize your potential. And for the record, you’re potentially a powerlifting freak.

potentially? kids a fucking beast at powerlifting, hes just taking off time from squat and dead, but i have a feeling ull be back in no time right newb?
btw those rows were fucking crazy

Dude, you’re superhuman!

I hope everything works out for you my man. It would be awesome though to see what you could do if you started competing and got some serious lifters as mentors.
