You’re a fucking idiot, go the fuck away dipshit.

“310 and ~14%”

Please enlighten me in what you call a “low level of body fat”. Because to me 14% isn’t low. And just because the guy is huge(which he most definitely is) doesn’t mean that what he does will work for you. Please carry on calling me names, that’s helpful. -_-

Still impressive, yet still unimpressive that you can’t read.

Actually, dumbass, maybe you should learn to read since I never said he had a bf percentage less than 10%, that dumbass did. And 14% bf at 310 is amazing.
Shocking, another member weighing 160 lbs not knowing a god damn thing about anything and thinking that anything lower than 10% bf is actually thee staple for bodybuilding. Well, let me enlighten you, you wannabe abercrombie model, being 6’7 and weighing 310 with a 14% bf, as a POWERLIFTER, is extremely hard to attain, shit, 14% at 310 is hard to attain by itself, and although I do not think bf% means a damn thing, I think most of the other elite lifters and guys from the BOI would agree that 310, and 14% body fat is amazing, especially for a guy whose motto has been eat whatever you can and clean up your diet later.

Although 14% may not be small at 200lbs or 225 or below, at fucking 310, i’d say it’s pretty impressive. It’s comparable to 10% at 200lbs.

nah, these forums are a fail, there is a reason i stick to the BOI and training logs, the second you venture away the dumbest people on the internet get involved. You fucks took, what could have been a very innformative thread, from one of the biggest guys on this site, anddestroyed it because of his 14% bf, amazing.

Rhino Jockey, I bet youre a badass PT at under 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds, bet all the out of shape 60 year old men and over-fed, unemployed soccer moms really value the advice you give them.

It is amazing that people actually think like this. This guy is damn near 300lbs yet is havingf small fuckers claim he isn’t impressive simply because he has 14% body fat…and claiming that isn’t low enough to call “low”.

You guys don’t have it all. The moment ONE of you comes anywhere near that, let me know.

Just a tip though, if you weigh nearly 300lbs and have anything less than 20% body fat (especially if you are around my height), then no one outside of some invisible internet haters are going to call you fat. Most people will simply call you, “holy shit”.
matsm21 wrote:
man, I didn’t think I posted enough to get my own thread…thanks

when I started training I was 207 lbs. I did a basic bodypart split…chest/tri’s, back bi’s, legs, and shoulders. I kept this up for about 4 years. this whole time I was playing college basketball, so I was pretty much only gaining weight in the offseason and maintaining in season. This took me up to about 250 lbs, though I prematurely cut to a lean 238.

I cant give you an exact BF, but it was pretty low. When I did this, however, I realized that even though I was lean and stronger then most people, with a tee shirt on I didn’t look like I lifted weights.

About 3 years ago I realized that due to my height, unless I weighed in at like a lean 390 lbs, I would never look like a bodybuilder, proportionately speaking. I decided to train for strength, and just get my lifts up, so I could be a strong MF’er. I trained off the basic westside template for 2 years and ate like a complete savage. I had never eaten with such disregard before and got up to about 285 in those two years.

this past year I switched my training to ME bench, DE bench, squat, and deads, for 4 total days of training. Set up for powerlifting, and I just add more volume with the accessory work to keep gaining weight.

As far as nutrition goes, I’m no guru. Naturally I am very skinny. I pretty much eat regular food that everyone else eats, though 4 times a day and I make sure to get a meat in with any meal. If I want to lean out a little I add some cardio and cut out BS snacks like poptarts and cookies.
Jeez, Longest post ever, sorry bout that
What does your template look like for WSBB? I just started doing WSBB again.

Obviously what Matsm21 accomplished isn’t easy and I wish only the best to him, but you took a simple comment about what I consider low body fat in a BODYBUILDING forum and decided to lash out at me. 14% body fat at nearly 300lbs IS low body fat.

If you actually saw someone like that, you would not see fat hanging off their bodies. they would look very lean. You seem lost about this.

14% on someone at 300lbs is NOTHING like 14% on someone who weighs 150lbs.

It’s funny when people confuse percentages with solid numbers.
EDIT: Also, it’s sad that people use 150lbers for a reference point of how fat someone should look at a given BF.

Was a response like this so hard OP? Thanks X. Peace out.
Sharp4850 wrote:

Exactly…and that is why I HATE that so many of these newbs get caught up in what their “number” is. IT DOESN’T MATTER. No one looking at me would call me fat…yet some people are so wrapped up in what they THINK they know that they would go by a number alone.

I have seen people taped out at 17% body fat who had ALL abs showing. Should they diet? I mean, they are “17%”.

The amount of solid mass on someone who weighs nearly 300lbs is going to eclipse any level of body fat unless they are truly fat…as in OVER 20% body fat. They would not look fat to you walking down the street or even with their clothes off. They might look “smooth” but that is NOT FAT.

Unless you are a high level lifter getting ready for a comp or someone truly obese truly worried about health, most people would do well to throw this attention to body fat numbers out of the fucking window and pay more attention to how they actually look and whether their lifts are going up.

i guess people forget how percentages work…

but having 14% body fat at 310 means you have a shitload more muscle

than someone who is 14% bodyfat at 180 pounds.

14 is a totally random number anyway, i dont think he’s the type of guy who would actually go out and get his BF tested in a lab. its just a guesstimate and as you can see by his picture he surely isnt fat.

300 lbs @ 20% BF = 60 lbs fat
Lean mass = 240 lbs

150 lbs @ 20% BF = 30 lbs fat
Lean mass = 120 lbs

^I completely agree that pure mass is what matters, that being said…for a site dedicated to strength, combat and bodybuilding, so many of you guys are ridiculously sensitive; like fuckin school girls sometimes. It’s the internet.

100% agree.
Sometimes the ocular test is more telling than numbers.

Will all the stupid RUDE ass people on this forum please keep your negative comments to your self so the rest of us can learn something from the successful big people on this site. I am fairly lean and I want to learn how to get BIG.

THIS!

Do you guys not realize that you’re not just trolling, but you’re being FUCKING RUDE?!

Mtsm21 - props on getting to where you currently are man, we all know its a struggle for the taller guys. I’d be interested to hear what current goals are?

To the actual subject of your post: Dude you are a monster, I wonder if you have ever considered strongman comps. Your height and strength would serve you well.

To the fucking idiots: Sincerely please stop fucking up these forums. Take a look at yourself. There is obviously something wrong with your self esteem when you try to tear down the accomplishments of others. Particularly when no one would care how you train. You losers are not sweet. If you did ever accomplish something would you want your thread taken up by little shits like you. You guys are sad. Get off the computer and go lift. Some of us are looking to better ourselves and want to now how 300 pounders train. Here I will finish your work for you to free up your time:
-Mattsm is on a boatload of steroids
-Mattsm could not put up good numbers without his assistance gear
-Mattsm is a genetic freak and we should not train like him, we should do 20 min TBT
-Mattsm is fat like X every other person who is bigger and stronger than me
-When you cannot get laid be sure to give your fingers a keyboard workout in between checking your facebook and jacking off.

Mattsm: Forget these loser. What kind of wieght are you lifting in the big three.
