Loosening Tight Traps?

I remember CT saying tight traps sort of inhibit the growth of your lats, or something like that.

My traps are extremely tight and in fact I can’t seem to loose this crick in my neck for that reason. In some way, I have problems developing my lat area; can’t seem to achieve that V-Taper despite the fact that I train lats first and with more volume than my pressing movements.

So, how exactly do you remedy tight traps?

Thanks!

lots of stretching will only help.

What kind of stretches should someone with tight traps be doing?

If you have a girlfriend, tell her she needs to look after your neck and the only way to do it is a massage every now and then

dont do shrugs until your problem becomes less

and grab onto a stable object that you can grip on both sides(think like db shrug type grip) push yourself up WITH YOUR LEGS. that should help stretch them.
