Legs and cardio

Does anyone have any ideas on how to minimize muscle fatigue/oertraining when doing cardio on leg days? I’m currently training my quads and hams on different days, so I was thinking about doing a quad-dominant cardio exercise when I work hams and vise verse. If this is a good idea, my cardio/legs split would look like this; stationary bike+hams, stairclimber or treadmill + quads. Any thoughts, boys?

try swimming every once in a while. works your lats and shoulders a lot. since a pool isn’t as available as a treadmill or any place to run, just throw it in everyonce in a while to mix it up.

I don’t really think it matters what type of lower body cardio you do on quad/hamstring day but what is more important is when you do it. If you do it on the same day you train legs you won’t make much inroads into your recovery with it and by doing it the day after you’ll get some blood in there to actually help recovery. If you do it at any other time you’ll be burning up too much muscle glycogen and probably hampering performance and recovery…hope this makes sense.
