As for the lifts I call bull shit mainly because I dont think that he can squat a grand under the age of 20. If he could he should have entered a meet and broken the youngest person to squat a grand record. Also I dont think the kid for westside being personally trained by louis could break a grand. SO unless this kid is in triple ply he aint squating a grand.
a 500 raw bench takes years to get his dad should know.
I think they are just trying to make him sound better than he is just because he is larry’s son.
I’ve been hearing about this kid for 5 or 6 years, I believe he did some highschool meets a few years ago and benched over 400 raw and squatted close to 800 with belt and wraps. I can believe the kids posted highschool lifts, from what I’ve seen he weighed around 240 as a senior at less than five ten and looked farily lean for a highschool kid weighing that much.
I really don’t have that much of a problem with the claim of a 1000 squat, its realistic that he was doing 800 at 17 or 18 with wraps/belt, whats so hard to believe about an 800 raw squatter getting geared out and making a run at 1000? Age alone shouldn’t matter in this case, this kid obviously has very good genetics based on who is dad is and from what I’ve heard Larry has had him basically training hard since the age of 5 or 6.
I’ve heard Rickey Crain and others say that it isn’t chronological age that matters but rather years of training. This kid already has over 10 years hard training. and besides to throw the highschool shot 70 feet at under six foot, he has to be ungodly explosive, there are a lot of guys less explosive and probably weaker squatting over 1000 at multi-ply meets and no one says a thing about it.

‘Possible’ does not equate to ‘plausible.’ An 18 year old doing a legit 800 is rare beyond rare. I would want to see some results from the high school meets that you believe he did that you heard about. I’m not even asking about depth because I dont care, a kid that age just unracking 800 is impressive, but I’d like to see some kind of proof first.

That 225x27 bench is no where near a 827 equipped squat.
? Dont quite get what you’re saying here? i dont really know that there’s anyway to equate a raw, high-rep bench with an equipped, 1RM squat…
I think benching 225x27 is easier than equipped squating 827.
Especially depending on the equipment and the bench form, most kids in highschool arent going to have 3 ply suits with briefs and monolifts with super tight knee wraps.

However most kids will cheat on bench.
mmm, I see what you’re saying, but I dunno. Could have short arms, or he could have a dad/older brother who powerlifts and has him in some jacked up gear … who knows
hmm this kid has been balding since he was 16, I wouldn’t be suprised if he was on some gear seeing as how much of a huge user his dad was.
Well looks like he did hit 700lbs in squat and near 1600 total as sophomore which is pretty damn impressive though I wonder how deep the squat was. He is apparently very short though like 5’6-maybe because he has been lifting since he was like 6, who knows-, so he could be a pretty decent bencher with those short arms. If he was over 6feet I bet he would have a run at olympics in few years in shot putt, yet not sure how much more he can get out of his body size seeing as how all shot putters are like 6ft+ monsters.
Not sure how he didn’t end up going to a four year school with the best shot putt in high school must have had some shitty grades.
I think he is focusing heavily on track and field, if he went into power lifting he could be pretty damn good I would bet.
Judging by his other lifts I think so, 370 bench 505deadlift 705 squat 1580 total which is state record total. He just have short legs and arms which is why his deadlift is pretty bad-in comparison- This was sophomore year also so maybe he is squatting 800+lbs raw, though I’ll wait to see a video.
Not sure why he wouldn’t have done some more powerlifting later during junior and senior year but I guess he was trying to go for shot putt record. I really don’t see him going much over 60ft maybe topping near 70ft-with 16lb- since his technique is pretty flawless right now and his strength is near top end. So that might make him go more into powerlifting.

I thought your DL was “always” stronger than your squat.
Deadlift isn’t always stronger than squat. Some guys like Shane Hamman are built to squat but don’t have the anatomical levers to deadlift whether they are too thick/fat or just have very short arms and a long torso. this kid looks like he is built to bench and squat, not pull. His dad was built similar, I think Larry Pacifico squatted low 800’s@242 in 1973 when they had outlawed wraps and had belt only but his dead was around 750.
Also I wonder how much deadlift training this kid actually does, being a thrower who dabbles in powerlifting most of his training is probably cleans and variations thereof. I don’t think just cleaning helps the deadlift as much as people think, John Godina and Matt Foreman have both did meets inthe last few years and pulled mid to high 600s, although their best cleans are over 400.
I really don’t have a problem with the kid conceivably squatting 1000 right now if he got geared up, look at some of the current 1000 squatters raw numbers, Sam Byrd hid 710 raw and did 1063, scott weech did 825/1100, if the kid was doing 705 with wraps 3 years ago, he probably could make a run if he learned the gear.

A guy who i went to high school with, at a weight of 330, squatted 875, benched 225 for 27 reps. Both of these lifts i watched him perform, and the squat was with a suit, but bench was raw. It was pretty amazing watching this from an 18 year old. And yes the squat was parallel.
Did you go to Gulliver Prep because those lifts sound a lot what this one kid could do.

Here is the vid of the kid throwing 70 in high school. That is fucking crazy!! I think the farthest throw I have seen is 55 or so 20 ft more that is fucking crazy!
