Lanky Me Chasing 5 More lbs, 1 More Rep

Well, it is an illusion of choice. Capitalism still wins at the end of the day lol. You just gotta learn to use it to your advantage and make the most of it I guess.

In a world full of junk, you can avoid 1 decision and trust Old Spice! (Clear deodorant)

I always heard that the aluminum in antiperspirant gives you Alzheimer’s.

Ever wonder why I’m so interested in behavioural science and economics :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

You’re probably in the minority here. I don’t care for the accompanying smell.

Used their soft solid for years, even a decade. Unfortunately, my wife told me last year that it wasn’t working anymore and it was time for a change. I’m using the Gillette gel now.

Hey dude, it looks great - you’re really resisting the extension. @Pinkylifting made a good point, which is that once your abs are sufficiently strong to handle a stretched, loaded position, you can enter into some extension. The reason why extension is initially bad is because it’s not you holding a stretched loaded ab position, it’s you letting your lower back compensate for ab weakness. Once your abs are strong, you’ll be able to lengthen them further, to great effect. In the meantime, you’re doing them in a safe manner that will give you a great ab workout.

Gotcha! Thanks for the tips. I’ll be honest though, didn’t really feel my abs burning or anything. Probably because it’s only 5 reps. We’ll see over tomorrow and the next few weeks

Its a big movement - involves lats and a general full body coordination, meaning you’ll not be targeting your abs in the same way that you will be after a few weeks of practice. To remedy this, do crunches, reverse crunches, sit ups, or some smaller, easier bodyweight ab exercise in between sets.

I agree with FlappinIt. It takes practice. The last video looks like you are using your hip flexors more because you are getting tired.

Upper traps are definitely getting bigger!

So are the medial delts!

There are a couple cues I use but I don’t want to overwhelm you. I’ll give you the one to battle this - contract your glutes before you roll out. It helps lock your pelvis in place and limit the hip flexors (at least it does for me).

All the pull ups are making a difference! The ab wheel is so cheap yet so effective. Is this the first time you have used it?

I see your point. Gotcha. Will work on it!

@Frank_C thanks for the tips. I’ll try it out!

The traps growing without direct trap work means they’re taking over the other stuff lol! Probably the volume of the side lateral I do and the hip huggers. But thanks lol

@anna_5588 music to my ears haha! Thank you!

@Bagsy I did one hideous rep before, felt like my lower back was gonna snap so I never did them again until now. Learning to brace definitely made a huge difference
