notes

Damn what a waste of a deload-

OH squats I want to hit 225 on these, behind neck push jerks are the way to go here.
squats felt great should have kept going.

was supposed to do some cardio after- but hey its a deload…

we went to the DR. today- we are at 37 or so weeks so it might be anyday now…
holy crap!!

lots of good work going on everywhere else… need to catch up later.

so do you have the bags packed? somebody to feed the cat? (if you have one). Don’t do what I did last time, I came home to grab stuff for myself, and grabbed this little bottle of contact lens stuff I had never used before. Turns out I am allergic to it. Ended up in the ER. 4 floors down from the wife and new baby.

I have a seriously tight calves, I envy that you can even do the OH squats. Just trying them with a a empty bar pitches me forward on my face!

Grats on the upcomming Daddydom…

What Pete said. Also, practice putting the car seat in and out and practice on a doll strapping it in! There is nothing like having the hospital staff look at you like you are a dumb shit who can’t even strap his kid in when you are leaving the hospital.

And screw the concern about landfill diapers. You do NOT want a bucket full of cat-piss smelling cloth in your tiny flat. Disposable diapers all the way.

Send the wife to live with her sisters, head out to the middle of the ocean, fly back in on a helicopter after all the fuss is over. Just a suggestion. Great squats.

You’ll soon find out you can function with very little sleep. Wait until you get home with the baby and think,ā€œwhat do we do nowā€. But you figure it out real quick. If you have any questions there’s like 20 dads on this forum.

Harry, both your wisdom and strength continue to impress…

Disposable diapers and get the removable car seat that you can keep the baby in and just release the ā€œbasketā€ so you are not taking a wee one in and out all the time. Real easy too keep covered too.

So you know the first couple of weeks are on you to get up in the the middle of the night to take care of junior (wife is still recovering). Oh and 5-6 hrs of sleep is alot with a newborn.

Rick

Thanks for all the support guys…I appreciate it.
It is very welcome!
Its kind of a happy scary time.

Turns out we are two weeks not three- so its somewhere close to Valetine’s day.

we got a car seat that the base stays in the car, the seat snaps in and out

As ā€˜green’ as I wanna be- we are all over the disposables vs. a bag full of ā€˜rinsed’ cloth sitting around.

as for squats thank you- they felt awesome for the first time in a while, good depth good posture

And Colin I have to do lots of ankle work and I roll the calves & peroneals ( between ankle and calf ) with a golf ball.

If I cant OH squat I know either pulling or squatting isnt likely to go well.

Tommrow wraps up the deload with some other upper crap

Ill catch up what you all have been up to.

I laughed at ā€œa million leg swingsā€. I get bored between 10 and 20.

My ā€˜baby’ is 11 soon to be 12. There is nothing I would rather do than go back to the 2 am feedings. No other time in my life has been so serene. Damn nice squatting. Enjoy the deload

Nice work dude, especially the OH Squats.

I haven’t done those in a long, long time, mostly because I can’t dump the weight at ā€œThe Yā€, although, now that I think of it, my other gym has a lifting platform and bumper plates… hmmmmm.

Wow
thanks people… thanks for all the support
and advice.

Hel you are the Man. Note to self, self live more like Harry this coming year.

Ok no baby yet, they threw a shower for the wife at work, then her peeps, threw her another one…

this Db complex was fun I should load it different
heavier for the squats/swings and a smaller db for the arm work and jumps.

thanks for reading.
Looks like you people have been busy.

Good work here shortie. For disposable diapers, esp in your cramped quarters, I recommend the ā€˜diaper genie’.

Great workout Kev. You’ve got a lot on your mind these days. Maybe thats why you didn’t feel so spry after the deload.

Good work as always, sir. Exciting times. Make sure the video camera and still camera are in the to go pack.

thanks people!!!

Pete we dont even have room for a diaper Genie!!!.

just some foam rolling, and mobility today.

I cant tell which is worse , protein farts or constipation from protein.

dead lift tomorrow

Nice work, Fuzzy! Sounds like you’re ready for the little one. Could turn into an extended deload!

I gotta give props here. the diaper genie is a must have, especially in cramped quarters. and surprisingly inexpensive at Sears
