KMC's Blackirish Bastid Kicks Ass 2.0

Nice benching Kevein, I’ve got a question for you.

Let’s say you have a friend who doesn’t do mobility work at all and needs some sort that he can do at home in the evenings. Let’s also say he will finally be doing foam rolling as well on the evenings. So what would you suggest that brings the biggest bang for the buck?

Thanks people!!

Rick I think I am going to do just that alternate front squat with pulling maybe snatch grip.

Hel- sounds like a good idea I used to a heavier 3 exercise that was clean , high pull, deadlift for 3,3 6

Joe…hmmm sounds like this ‘friend’ needs to check out the mobility thread… hmmm Ill post in your thread.

training today- I felt like shit.
there.

1.20.10

was supposed to do the same thing as last week
did this

Mobility
OH squat 95 2x10
squat 135x3x5, 185x2x5 225x25 then 295x5,315x3, 355 x2, then 365x2.

Somewhere around like 225 everything felt heavy- and creaky and had poor bar speed.
I scrapped the other work I was supposed to do hit a few decent doubles and called it a day.

I need some torso work as in abs/back raises felt too loose.

any way that is what I did.

225x25??? That would feel pretty darn heavy for any big dog.
Nice job!

Kevin, if you had to do 5 (or a managsble number) upperbody (esp. shoulders) stretches what would you do?? lower body?? Do you think OH squats help with thoracic mobility??

365x2. Way to feel like shit.

TruDat

oops I did 225 2x5 not 25

and thanks people I did the big doubles cause the rest of the workout wasnt happening- felt like shit
so I shut it down early.

made some bad tv- its on spike- need I say more.
training upper tomrrow and a swim.

good work.

Thanks people…

no lifting today pooped from yesterday and general baby anxiety…

instead I di

200 pushups
250 bodyweight squats
50 handstand pushups

all broken into manageable pieces, with decent rest.

That’s all?

Jeebus - you must have bowling ball shoulders today.

If you can position yourself to do handstand pushups, you should not be allowed to ever complain about flexibility issues.

I’ve thought about doing those handstand pushups against a wall. Seems like they would really hit the rear delts. Little concerned about rotator cuff stress. How do you warm up for those?

Thanks people…
My shoulders felt like lead on saturday.
feel ok now.

Manswers Math I dont know where you find the time to watch that.
NOT that bad but silly TV- the playbook- guide for guys.

I broke these down in sets of 50 for the squat 25 for push ups and 5 for the vertical pushups- all very manageable with a GOOD break in between.

Pete- flexibility for weight room life is different from wrestling/judo for me , so I am still
‘stiff and creaky’ for me

Old man powers - I do them against a wall I find a good width for hand placement that doesnt hurt-
for warm ups pushups and dislocates .

Handstand push ups are no joke.

I can do a few but 50, even broken up, in damn impressive.

thanks people…

Deload upper 1.25.10

mobility- tons lytp, dislocates clap pushups, scap push ups

A Bench bar x 20, 95x10,135x5,155x5,185x5

B DB flat bench 60 2x15

C low cable row 2x10

D DB shrug 90 2x10

complexes
95 1x10 of deadlift, BO row, hang clean, push press squat.

then I played with this one
75 x2 x8

RDL, snatch high pull, power snatch OH squat, jump squat.

Swim 15 minutes or so.

Notes

Boooooooring deload, should have went a little lighter on the db presses - the last set was actually hard.

complexes- played with some different ones, the second one with the powersnatch and jumpsquats fucked me up.

thanks for looking.

these bastards stole my log

I love everything on spike, so you made good tv
