Hi, all.
If you all are like me, you know that a few cycles of Mag-10 or 4-AD are only half the battle. The main challenge is keeping the gains when you inevitably go off the "sauce", right?
Well, the following information should be helpful.
After a 12 week cycle of Mag-10 and Tribex/M, I put on 40 pounds. In the last 12 weeks my workouts have been pretty crappy. I suffered a back injury that kept me out of the gym for a week and a half and then I got the flu, and that kept me out of the gym for another two weeks.
Needless to say, it's been frustrating. However, there is a bright side to this. Even though my workouts were nowhere near as intense and frequent in these last 12 awful weeks, my body weight only dropped about 10 pounds.
In other words, I kept about 75 percent of my gains even with poor training, a whole lot of missed gym time and no Mag-10. The reason, IMO, was my continued protein intake and attention to diet.
This leads me to the concusion that if I had been able to train properly for these last 12 weeks I would have kept probably 90 to 95 percent of my gains. The biggest compliment was when I returned to the gym yesterday after missing two weeks. A lot of my pals there commented on how it was pretty amazing that I missed two weeks and still looked pretty much the same, even after a bout with the flu.
I guess my point is that you shouldn't worry too much about inevitably going "off" supps like Mag-10. You WILL keep your gains if you continue to diet properly and get adequate protein intake. Any thoughts or experiences out there like this?
