I just like to know the experiences of people who use Mag10 and how they maintain their gains once they stop using the stuff. Is it like roids which I’ve never used were you just lose the size or do you just need to adjust caloric level &/or training to maintain your new muscle?
Any real world successful strategies I would appreciate your feedback.
I was personally going to stack it with Myostat and continue with Myostat after.
I’ll try to sum up Bill Roberts’ previous answers to this question.
You do not lose all gains from an anabolic cycle. In fact, if you are not at your genetic natural limit, you can keep all your gains assuming you eat to support the new muscle and keep training. Remember, after you add muscle your maintenance calorie intake is now higher and you’ll need more protein. (I’m speaking VERY generally here just to get the point across.)
Now, let’s say you started at 140 pounds and through a lot of hard training and proper eating you got up to 200 over the years. That 200 is as muscular as you’re going to get (just assume we know for sure this is your genetic cap on natural gains.)
Now, you’re at 200 but you use steroids or MAG-10 and you get up to 220. According to Bill Roberts, if you eat right and keep training, you can expect to keep half of that “unnatural” gain. So you’ll very slowly go back down to 210. Sounds disappointing, but remember, that’s still 10 pounds heavier than you could have ever gotten naturally (again, assuming we know what those natural limits are.)
Of course, if you’re not at your genetic peak - and most people aren’t, even if they think they are - you can keep all your cycle gains.
Now, all this can be thrown off because some steroids cause a lot of water retention. Get off the juice and it seems like you’re losing “all” your gains, but you’re not - you’re just dumping a lot of that water weight. Not all anabolics cause a lot of fluid gain though. MAG-10 causes very little.
Now, to help retain gains from anabolics, Roberts says to continue to train heavy after the cycle. Don’t go on an immediate low cal or low carb diet either to lose whatever fat you may have gained. Spend some time maintaining the new muscular weight.
Some steroid users also swear by Methoxy-7 for helping them keep their cycle gains. Cy Willson has offered some more tips in his Cy-Borg column if you want to look those up.
Methoxy 7, Tribex or Redkat, and maybe M are all great for post-cycle. Methoxy is great for locking in your gains and hardening up. Tribex or Redkat will spike your natural t levels quicker. The longer the cycle the more important these post cycle supps become in my opinion, but for a 2 wk you’ll be fine, as a long mag-10 cycle plus post supps can get pricey, but it’s well worth it!
Keep colories and protein up after the cycle to.
any negative side effects being noted with Mag 10 usage, such as hair loss, acne, or any other steroid-like adverse effects?
Negative Side effects?
There’s no hair loss, gyno, liver damager or anything…
BUT
It works just like a steroid, meaning that it suppreses your body’s normal (endogenous) production of testosterone. So if you take 5 doses a day for fifteen weeks (lets just say you’re crazy and rich) … you’re probably going to really deteriorate your body’s ability to produce t for quite some time. It’s not to be abused.
Don’t panic, lots of us use it for up to 8 weeks at full dosage, however we use M, Tribex, and in some cases even clomid to help our body’s natural t production get back on track quicker, again the longer the cycle the more important the post-cycle supps are to suppress estrogen levels and increase natural t production.
I would suggest Tribex and perhaps Methoxy as being better than Myostat for keeping your gains.
