Thank you. Ill be testing my maxes on the weekend. I’m sure they have all suffered, but I’m prepared for it.

Wed (w4/d2)

I mixed it up abit today, time constraints.

Seated Rows 5x10

Conv Rack Pulls (3rd hole) 135x5/225x5/315x4/405x4/495x3/545x2/565x2/585x2/605x1 then without pause (besides dropping the weights) Sumo Rack Pulls (3rd hole) 495x5/405x5/315x5/225x5/135x5
Pyramid Bench 185x5/225x2x5/275x2x4/315x2x3/275x2x5/225x2x7/185x10

Pullthrus 3x6
Facepulls 3x12

A contender for the chinup throne.

Hahaha… I wish, thanks though .

Fri

Worst training day in a very long time.

Bike 10mins
Pullups 10x

Full Power Squat 135x5 225x4 315x3 365x2 385x1 405x0
Incline Bench 185x4x6 (65%)

leg curl 3x10 2x15
leg ext 3x20

I was lucky I was in the rack today. I went deep with the 405, moved up a couple of inches, and went right back down. I gave up and did not even try to push. Scared I think. Terrible. Bench on Sunday. Hopefully it goes better. The 405xf leaves me 20 or so lbs off of my max.

Having a bad squat day really sucks. But you gotta remember it’s just one day. Like Scarlett (O’Hara) says: “After all, tomorrow is another day.”

Haha, this is very true, and I know my training has been “off” abit lately, so I know it’ll get better. I hope.

Sun Max Bench day

Chins 5x

Bench Press 135x3 225x3 315x3 335x1 355x1 375x1(spotter i thought helped too much, though he denied it)375xf could not lock it out the 2nd time. 315x5

tri-pushdowns 5x8

I’ll base my max of 375 however, I do not believe it was fully my lift on the first one. Not bad day though.

Nice work in here. That is some solid benching. Also, I wouldn’t worry about getting pinned by a squat every now and again–that happens to me more than I am willing to admit.

Thanks. Ive never had that happen on a squat, however I am totally scared when squatting, so I never think i push myslef as hard as i should. Now on benching, Ive been pinned all sorts of times, and have had to roll the weight off of myself. its sorta funny to me at the time, but I am a weird fucker.

I will try and get some vids up somehow of me doing some benching, deads etc… for critique etc.

That’s funny, I don’t think I’ve ever been pinned by a bench–I always get a spotter when its even gonna be close–but I use the rack for a safety net all the time on squats. I have had too many bad experiences with spotters not knowing what the f-they are doing on squats that resulted in near disasters and now I just think its better to dump it into the rack when I get in over my head. I don’t like to miss, but its no biggy if I do.

First time I ever had to dump a squat in a rack. Ive never done this or had to do this before. I’ve always managed to get the weight up, however ugly it looked or felt. I honestly think , in my head sometimes, I give up before the lift has even started.

As for the bench, haha, I always think I play it conservatively. But I have been caught with as little as 315x1 sitting on my chest, and rolling it of, not thinking I would need a spotter or be in a rack. Somedays, I am my own worst enemy.

I’ve only been pinned in a bench once, on incline. I’ll never make that mistake again.

But in the cage? Like, Jumpin’ Jack, I miss squats fairly frequently and have FINALLY become comfortable with dumping it on the pins. Used to scare the hell outta me. But not anymore.

I finally hit a 500lb deadlift. After that I was on such a high I just continued working out like it wa a normal day. Very happy with this. Now Ill take some time off before I start my next round.

Funny how things go, earlier in the week you were gutted about your squats and a few days later a deadlift PR. The highs and lows of lifting eh?. Congratulations and enjoy your well earned time off.

Thank you sir. I really, more than anything wanted to hit a 500lb deadlift. More than any bench or squat number, so I am very very happy. I’ll definately enjoy my time off, and come back hard(er) again. Thanks.

500lbs…congrats!
