Hope you are well. I just wanted to post on here to say a big thank you to you for essentially getting me to break a 12 month plateau with my lifting. Ive just finished my 8th week of the PLing programme you wrote for hawaiituna with the only change being i alternated squats and deadlifts. It was a bit surreal, after the first 4 weeks things just suddenly felt 5-10% easier out of nowhere and my max weight lifted and total volume in my workouts shot up pretty dramatically in a short time.
Progress looks like this:
Bench Press - 120kg → 130kg
Deadlift - 205kg → 210kg (really easy)
SGHP from blocks - 95 → 107.5kg
Decline Press - 127.5kg → 140kg
Squat - 160kg → 175kg
All of the new PBs were done during my 1RM ramps and were not grinders by any means except maybe the decline press. After being completely stuck at the same weights for a year its almost unbelievable progress (for me) in such a short time frame. Ive got some sessions booked with a strength coach now to identify personal weaknesses etc then in a few weeks ill be back on this programme again.
