Tonight I’m getting graded on my Bench Press, Squat and Deadlift so I’ll know where my 1RM stands. I’ve been thinking of a way to train to improve it in a 6 week programme and came up with this so would love to get some feedback on if you’ve used this style or know if it will work, any help would be great.
I will be training 3 times a week each day a different lift with 1/2 assistance exercises the format I want to do for the lifts are;
week 1: 6 reps @ 70%
week 2: 5 reps @ 75%
week 3: 4 reps @ 80%
week 4: 3 reps @ 85%
Week 5: 2 reps @ 90%
week 6: 1 rep @ 95% and PB attempt
Any advice on how many working sets I should do on each? I was think the first 2 weeks doing 5 sets, week 3/4 doing 4 sets and week 5/6 doing 3 sets
