… because it’s Men’s Health. And a challenge.

And because you can say you were in Men’s Health, lol.
Here is the winner from this year, looks alright.

Personally for me even though I can maintain decent motivation to train and eat year round, nothing had me as motivated as the 6 months leading up to taking my pics last time.

So by planning to enter it again in 2015 I would have a more focused goal to work towards achieving.

I was actually unaware of any physique comps in Scotland until tonight, there is one. So that is always an option instead!
Ohh damn dude, that guy looks alright!

I thought someone posted earlier in this log or one of your threads about people in that competition, and it was a lot of skinny fat, kind of as abs looking guys. But no, if that’s the kind of guy winning it, the guy you posted above, then by all means, get in that magazine!

Agreed! The couple of guys somebody posted pictures of a couple pages back looked like shit, I’d be embarrassed to do a photoshoot in that condition. But that guy’s got a real good physique, so it’s good to see they’re not lowering their standards! Hitting it hard again in 2015 sounds like a good plan to me Rattle, could always throw a 4 week mini cut in every 6 months or so just to stay within striking distance of comp leanness. You don’t need to think of it as an either/or between cutting soon or pushing with a bulk, know what I mean?

Yeah I will most likely have minicuts during exam periods and take advantage of the my anxiety causing lack of appetite.

Did m press today, was good.

Vid brightness and quality is shit cause it was my birds phone but the plates were 15k’s, 5k’s, 2.5k’s and 1.25k’s.

M Press

57.5k x 3 reps
62.5k x 3 reps
67.5k x 5 reps (PR)

M Press S/S L Raises

37.5k x 8 reps S/S 5k’s x 15 reps x 5 sets

Rear Delt Raises S/S Dbell Extensions

7.5k’s x 25 reps S/S 7.5k’s x 15 reps x 5 sets

Tried touch and go deads for the first time really, I liked them. Got a nice lower back pump without aggravating any injuries.

Deads - No belt

130k x 3 reps
140k x 3 reps
150 k x 6 reps (PR)

5 were touch and go, the 6th was deadstop for fun. Was a good set, didn’t feel too pushed.

Meadows Rows

30k x 12 reps x 4 sets

Chins

6 reps x 4 sets

Incline Curls S/S Face Pulls

7.5k’s x 12 reps S/S Light band x 20 reps x 5 sets

Forgot to mention that today I weighed 192lbs (AM empty stomach).

So i’m nearing a 30lb gain since my first log post.

Here’s an unpumped progress pic then, excuse the bloat as I have just finished my last meal for the day.

Benching…

Good day but I tweaked my neck, shoulder and chest doing incline barbell and that whole area is pretty bad right now.

Honestly think incline curls are the culprit, every time i decide on a whim to do them I mess up my shoulder.

Doing arms in a hour and a half tho so gotta keep rolling.

Bench

92.5k x 3 reps
100k x 3 reps
110k x 3 reps (PR)

60k x 12 reps x 4 sets

Incline Bench

60k x 8 reps x 4 sets

Incline Dbell flies S/S Incline Dbell bench

10k’s x 15 reps S/S 10k’s x 15 reps x 4 sets

Did the usual arm shit, can’t be bothered writing it. Gotta go out, cya.

Merry Christmas Rattle!

Solid work with this dude. For a 30 lbs gain in a pretty small window (relatively) you’re about as lean as one can be. What’s the plan now? maintain a bit and increase strength? Or keep pushing BW?

Ohh and you finally weigh more then me I think lol.

Merry Christmas btw!

Just keep pushing bodyweight tbh, when I hit the stage of fatness I was at last year do a mini cut and then forward again. Soon as I have any form of belly overhang, not just bloat, it gets slowed down.

Balance is still 70% interest in physique and 30% in strength so I’m definitely not willing to look like shit to just push a few more kilos on lifts.

Merry Christmas to you too, may we both have a gain filled 2014.

Last pics of 2013, most likely won’t be training for 5 days cause I’m away.

Just went to some parties with the bird for the bells really, I missed chewin the fat :(.

So 2013 was an alright year for me training wise. Got shredded and achieved all my log goals, except for the 80k M Press.

2014 Lifting and Physique Goals

 1. 140k Bench
 2. 180k Squat
 3. 220k Dead
 4. 90k Military Press
 5. Weigh 210-220lbs

Upon completion of each and every one of these goals I will get shredded again and move to a much more physique orientated program.

Congratulations on a great 2013 and good luck with your 2014 goals! I have full confidence you’ll hit them all.
