Joint Mobility Exercises

Does anyone have any drills to make joints stronger?

Well, you can double up on the paper when rolling. (sorry, I had to)

What are you trying to do? Do you have joint pain? More detail, please…

You cannot strengthen a joint as much as you can increase its range of motion and make it more efficient. By increasing your range of motion and releasing joint tension you will develop better technique in your lifts therefore becoming more stronger and powerful.

The joint mobility movements are called Zydrove or Z-Health.

I have been perfroming these movements that past year and they have greatly increased my recovery time and technique with throwing and olympic lifts. And I’ve been lifting and throwing for over 15 years.

I use it with athletes I train and it has put feet on thier throws and greatly increased throwing and lifting technique in minutes. It is a great way to help prevent injury and increase performance.

So when you ask about strengthening joints, you should be helping increase your ROM, reducing tension and increasing movement efficiency.

Well I don’t have joint pain, I just thought that I could maybe do some drills to prevent any damage and make them healthier on my GPP days or maybe every morning.

thanks zoso, I will try and find some material about this Z-health and zydrove.

Read pavels book Super Joints for lots of different drills.

Well you can’t really train ligaments so the short answer to your question is no. But you can train the muscles around a perticular joint to make it more stable. Can be done simply with proprioception or posture exercises depending of the joint(s?) you wish to strenghten.

Warrior Wellness vids by Coach Sonnen are awesome for joint strengthening, increasing ROM, drills etc
