Just found his posing vid vor the year he won. Insane.
Nice fucking find man. Haha how annoying is the final part were everybody is pushing eachother to get their pose in. And the black dude on the left, just comes up and pushes skip and willet out the way hahahaha.
Yeah haha tactics of a posedown lol. Gotta love it.
His back seemed like it was lacking quite a bit in the back DB and lat spread, but the dude’s conditioning is awesome and has an awesome physique.
This thread got pretty lol though, like most long threads tend to get in this forum…
It’s interesting to see Willet next to Skip. Skip’s always the guy you doubt is a natty or not, but despite his being so big and round, Willet’s physique is just harder, with so much more detail… just a different level of quality I would say.

Seriously man, It was like no contest when they did the ab/theigh shot.

Heres Another pic of jeff at 227 lbs, i think thats his biggest.
That pic is a perfect example of why I wish there were also contests where there was no further reward given for being leaner than Jeff is in that pic. Particularly for natural contests.
He looks absolutely excellent like that.

I agree, too many guys (natural and assisted) tend to get freakishly lean and tan, which makes them look stringy and makes their legs look tiny. I’m mostly talking about the amateur guys, They would look soo much better if they just didn’t go so low in bf% and save their muscle

Agreed. I think the same goes for Jeff Rodriguez in his off season pics. he looksl ike he could come on stage pretty hefty at 180 and pull it off but i’m pretty sure he gets down to 160? Unimaginable.
I guess whereas the assisted lifters demand is as huge as possible, the unassisted demand is as lean as possible.
And secondly the assisted competitors don’t lose muscle nearly as badly when going for the utter extreme in leanness.
So as huge as the top assisted bb’ers are in any case, and as their losses on getting utterly extremely lean are less, I can see where no one bothers with pro contests that stop rewarding leanness past some ordinary-but-excellent point such as Willet is showing above, but instead keep rewarding added leanness all the way down to absolute Saran-wrap/bone-dry.
But with the natural guys, and especially at the more local but even very often at higher levels, the cost of that extreme leanness is so great that it does seem it would be worthwhile to also have contests that had no extra reward for that. The same competitors would come in much larger for such contests and, if as lean as Jeff is above, would be looking great.

I think so too. I’m gonna be competing for the first time this year and still have yet to figure out what balance is deemed “acceptable” for a natty show.
