To be fair, the pictures are unflattering but the whole thing is still cringe-worthy to me; kinda like a stripper on stage at 8 months pregnant. But in the end, he seems to enjoy himself and he says he still loves bodybuilding, so respect to him.

Though I have to say, it must be questionable for business to step on stage looking like that, given he was the only poster-boy of his supplement company at the time (he signed Rhoden after the 2012 Olympia).

As for Cutler: he’s 39, has 10 years of finishing either first or second, is worth 30 million dollars (source questionable); I see his comeback as a business move wether he wins or loses. Probably won’t take home the Sandow, maybe a polite top 6. Greene, Heath, Rhoden, Dexter & Cedric (I hope to see him on stage) have much more to offer at this point in their careers.

i think that cedric is the only one who would have a shot at beating Phil heath for the O, except for maybe Kai?

too bad cedric is not a spring chicken, guy looks amazing cept for that gyno

if jay wins, he will likely be the only olympia ever to make 2 comebacks

Last year, he was dwarfed (and I don’t want to hear anything about conditiong, the second day day kai was ripped as much as phil, and he got a point less that the day before). I cannot even imagine what phil will look like this year versus Kai and Big Ramy. Like a schoolboy probably.

Kai is never going to win as long as it’s even remotely close.

Never. The “powers that be” won’t let it happen because of his past. Fair or not (not) they can’t have him as the face of the sport because of his past.

Kai fans just have to face this reality.

Thats true politics ruins everything in Bodybuilding

Its all about money to the promotors cause the past of certain athletes would ruin the money for the promotors certain people become the face of Bodybuilding

Its a shame cause Bodybuilding is supposed to be about who has the best physique at the show not politics!

Kai is one of the more likeable and philosophical guys. The past might work for him as a reflection on how bodybuilding can help one straighten their life out.

It’s a bit ironic that they want a boy next door like Phil when the sport (at that level) relies on guys working outside the law anyway.

Totally! Kai was so much bigger/wider and just as cut. His back detail also was much better than Phil’s. But as others have said, he is not as good of a poster boy so he may never get it.
