JB, hook it up, hook it up, my man! You know we’d all be down with that. While I have tried to replicate something similar to the famous Metabolic Day I don’t think I’ve been able to mimic it quite to the point that fellow colleagues (Cy, John K) have attested. It would definitely be pretty fly to see how my man JB kicks butt in the iron game.
I’m with you guys, I wanna see a Berardi workout plan. I just hope it dosen’t include some crazy shit like kettleballs or tractor pulls, or airplane pulling or boulder tossing. My gym just dosen’t have that shit! lol
I’m in.
Not sure why you guys want Berardi’s workout. He’s so puny he makes Lyle McDonald look buff. Okay, I’m just kidding, John is a walking ROCK, has some cool training ideas, and a lot of experience training athletes. I told him this morning that we’d be glad to look at some of his training articles. He said he’d get to work on some soon.
Wow guys. Im flattered by the feedback. I was sure some guys would chime in, telling me to stuff it because my initials arent CP, IK, CS, etc. But alas, there is some interest. And because of this, Chris has given me the go ahead to do a training article or two. So I will work on it over the next week or so. But dont rush me. Ive got a lot going on in the lab, with my athletes, and in trying to finish my darned PhD. But good things come to those who wait!
What I will do is outline how I break up training phases, how I break up specific workouts, and I may even get all arrogant and assume that you want to see the weights I use and the reps I get with them. I feel particularly happy about doing so since Im in a strength phase right now and knocked out 500lbs for 6 sets of 4 reps on the deadlift this morning! (at a body weight of 200lbs)
Whadda ya think?
