I've got ROIDS

Okay I don’t know where to post this topic, but I gotta ask you all for some help…well, on Monday I went the heaviest I’ve ever gone on deadlifts, and as of last night I have devloped a serious problem…hemmorhoids.
I think the heavy lifting/pushing that I did was the major factor that caused this, and holy shit am I in a lot of pain here…this is the first time I’ve ever experienced anything like this, does anyone know any remedies to clear this shit up?? Man it fucking hurts, I’m sitting here at my desk at work and I don’t even want to move b/c of the pain. If anyone has any advice, please help me out!!

Now you know what women feel like after childbirth! Get one of those inflatable donuts to sit on until the swelling goes down. Slather on gobs of Preparation H. Soak your butt in warm water with epsom salts. Sorry to say that once you get these things they more or less stay–just the degree of swelling goes up and down. Good luck.

This is easily the stupidest question I’ve ever posted on this forum. Can someone tell me exactly how you know if you have 'roids? I don’t think I’ve ever had them, at least my ass has never hurt. If you reach down there, can you actually feel them? They’re swollen blood vessels or something, right? Do they itch or hurt? Jeeze, I hope I never get 'em, what a pain in the ass.

You’ve got to decide just how much they hurt, or how bad it is… then go see a Dr. (I prefer a gal) and have her look and poke. Probably you’ll get a prescript for a steroid lotion than you can apply. Also, warm to hot baths with lot’s of epsom salt 2 - 3 x daily. Finally start adding lot’s of fiber to your diet - metamucil, citrcell, or something at your health store… gnc has some good stuff and so does Vitamin Shop (no sugar or aspar added) Finally use prepH before you take a dump and get your biz over quick - do not hangout reading while on the pot… lay down of the bed or something for that… reading on the John is a BIG no-no.

Yes, you can feel them with your fingers and yes they do both itch and hurt.

GO SEE A DOCTER!!! GO SEE A DOCTER!!! GO SEE A DOCTER!!! GO SEE A DOCTER!!! GO SEE A DOCTER!!! GO SEE A DOCTER!!! GO SEE A DOCTER!!!
or just sit there and die if you are too dumb to see a docter when you are in so much pain you cant move

You can do a search on the Internet and find out all you need to know. There are external and internal 'rhoids with varying degrees of seriousness. In the worst case, you could require an operation. There are also rubber band techniques that are used in some cases for removal. In some cases of external 'rhoids you can use your finger to move them back inside of you. Avoid sitting for long periods, use Preparation H and moistened pads for wiping (you can even keep these in the fridge so they are cool when you use them). While warm baths are good, you may also want to alternate with cool water or a cold compress. For me, lifting and heavy caffeine consumption will occasionally bring about a bout, but the problem usually clears up in a few days. As noted above, since your symptoms seem a bit severe, it’s probably prudent to check with a doctor.

I had the same problem, so I did some research on the web - there are lots of great articles describing what they are and how to treat. I bought “Heals Hemmoroids”, a natural oil treatment from Healing Oils. Don’t remember the URL, just do a search. Anyway, the stuff works great, clears 'em up in a few days. Drink lots of water, don’t go #2 until you are about to explode.

All good advice above. I had 'em once - very uncomfortable. Don’t worry, they do eventually go away (if you follow the right advice… topical treatements, fiber, etc.) Mine have never since come back.
