Iron in the Blood

Bosses can be cunts. I’d go with Joe’s idea.

Joe and Cal - I usually don’t get like this at the end of the day. I opened a beer, had 2 actually. I couple of redheads  and the husband was nice enough to cook supper - pasta with sundried tomatos and tuna. A nice staple.

Ronda: totally forgot about the pedi! love dark red, had it last time. Russian Army is a dark purple-blue. Felt like something a little grungy with all that talk of Hole in Kimba’s log last week.

all right got to get rolling for my day.

Tonight I got home a little later but it wasn’t as bad as yesterday so I kicked my butt and went to the gym. Turns out I needed the release. Felt great both mentally and physically.

pullups 2,1!!! - PR!!! never could do this for more than once a workout. very happy.
with 1 band 4,2
with 2 bands 5,4,3 - stole this setup from Kimba. good stuff.

Barbell military press with preset bar edit: mixed with push press for the last reps
70lbs
1x12
2x6 - was going for 3x12 but totally hit a wall. 6 hours no food, didn’t think to take a quick snack on my way out.

stiff leg deadlift
70lbs 3x12

seated calf raise machine -this is a new gyzmo our gym got. Not bad. it was quick to figure out.

  • 45lbs plate 3x10

reverse crunches on bench
5kg medecin ball between the knees
2x30 with 1 min hold on last rep of each set

pushups on 2 medecine balls 3x8 - stole these from Masch, these are tough bitches! had to give it everything I got to finish those last reps.

supper: watermelon, pp shake, tuna and avocado sandwhich and nectarine. mmmm. my belly’s purrin.

Good job getting to the gym tonight. And awesome workout on top of that… I think I want to steal some moves from you.

And nice PR, that’s no joke.
I’m absolutely jealous of your military press, I couldn’t do what you did after a huge plate of spaghetti and steak, so be proud.

I’m due for a squat vid next week to make sure my depth on the heavy stuff is still legit.

You know what I think? I think you just want to show off. Maybe even graze the ground with your ass all whilst you have huge amounts of weight on your back. [Slinks off to pout.]

Seriously, lovely photos.

great pics, lady. congrats on your squat PR and very nice MP! whoo hoo.

someday i will visit Canada…hopefully.

Get er DONE!!

T: spring through fall. but then again you like boarding so you might have some use for the snow in winter - I certainly don’t.

it’ll probably take me another 6 months to get a total of 4. These are so slow to build up.

^Start adding rev. p-ups in your routine. You’ll be at 4, maybe 6 in no time flat.

I’ll back print on the pull up negatives. I found them better than any of the alternatives.

Not bad either on the MPs. You have me beat. I hit the wall quickly on them as well.

If I were you, I’d go ahead and post another video. I don’t usually post for feedback anymore. I just like to hear that I’m a fucking rock star. It doesn’t matter that I’m not, I want to hear it anyway. If you post one, I’ll tell you the same thing

You’re a fucking rock star.

Congrats on the PR. You can now do more pullups than most of humanity.

print: thanks for the tip. rev. pull ups it is starting next workout. I gotta chase the Kimba down the rabbit hole…

O: you are a rockstar (with a gear fetish but I dig that) and you’re right: feels great to be given the thumbs up by a bunch of other strongfolk. I’m totally addicted to the compound for one.

Joe: never thought of it that way. Struggling to haul my 150lbs ass up that bar now seems kind cool.

so tonight’s deal:

deadlifts
135lbs 1x5
155lbs 1x5
185lbs 1x5
205lbs 1x2 - these felt so heavy today…
225lbs 1x1 -hardly got it up
245lbs 1x1 -struggled to lock the bitch. I really wanted this to at least match last time’s PR.
185lbs 1x5
135lbs 1x12 - finsher. tougher than I expected.

edit: I fucked myself up, last PR was 240lbs NOT 245lbs, hence a hit a new PR by lying to myself lol. yeah for idiocy.

alternating dumbbell snatch
45lbs - right arm 1x, left arm no go even after 2 tries.
40lbs - dropped the weight
1x12 (each arm) rep PR + 7
45lbs -decided to give these another run to match last time’s PR.
1x3 (each arm) Rep Pr +2

-again on these I thought I had repped the 45lbs last week. So I hit some PR’s without knowing. Thought I was having a suck ass day. Turns out it was stellar. Funny how your brains can trick you.

front squats
95lbs 1x3 - to tired to rep these properly
65lbs 3x8

neutral grip barbell triceps extensions
30lbs 3x8

neutral grip barbell curls
50lbs 3x8

cable abs crunch
95lbs 1x12
105lbs 1x12
115lbs 1x12 PR +5lbs

supper: protein shot, halibut, rice and roquette, roasted cherry tomatoes. I’ll probably have some almond butter before hitting the sack.

cheerios darlins.

Print and company: are reverse pullups like chins?? I just googled them and that’s what I found… unless there’s a diff I didn’t get?
