Iron in the Blood

Joe - I like the ergogenics whey - only the chocolate one. It’s a canadian company and as far as I know only distributed in this country. I like the fact that it consists of 4 ingredients: whey, chocolate, stevia and enzymes. That is all.

Plus the chocolate tastes good and the texture isn’t pudding-like which clashed in my oatmeal. You might find some on the net. If not and your interested I could always ship you a 2lbs I suppose.

Had planned my run with google maps only to lose myself in some little neighborhood streets. I ended up running a steady pace for 30 minutes and walking another 35.

love the camel pack I adopted. all set up and ready to run.

now I can justify my BBQ and beer supper at the bro’s house  mmm.

Camel packs are awesome but I can’t get into running…;-}

lookin’ good l’main!

A 95 lb. push press is still impressive.

I LOVE my camelbak. I am hopeless with a water bottle on my bicycle, so I wear it whenever I ride. You are looking very sex-ay in those pictures. Nice shorts!

hott ass. i can see why people would chase you.

Thanks for the thumbs up soldog and Kimba  picture was taken before the run. After includes litres of sweat…def not as pretty. lol.

I sent my bike to the shop for a spring summer tune up. I’ll try to pick it up today so I can add it to my list of outside activities.

also on list for today: washing the kitteh which I usually do 1-2 times a year. I wash her in the kitchen sink then I take her to the balcony and comb all the loose fur out. she hates it to death and sounds like I’m trying to drown her but her fur looks so good and she sheds way less for a while. She is declawed on all 4 feet (indoor city cats has no use for those except on furniture).

finally if kitteh doesn’t kill me I shall make it to the gym.

yeah for fridays!

edit: hey Cbear - posted at the same time. Thanks for dropping in. and the ass love. can’t get enough of that.

Inspired by Deb’s talk of deads PR I checked back and realized I hadn’t done them for a month (may 26th). I’ve been focusing on squats and rackpulls. Decided today was a good day for deads. And it was. Thanks Deb:)

deadlift
135lbs 1x5
155lbs 1x3
185lbs 1x3
205lbs 1x1
225lbs 1x1
240lbs 2x1!! PR + 5lbs.
225lbs 1x2
185lbs 1x8 Rep PR + 3 - really super duper happy at how light this felt.

dumbell rows
50lbs 3x6 - crazy hard after the deads.

legpress 225lbs 3x12

crunches on swiss ball feet on wall
10lbs plate above head 1x50

dips 3x6

supper: burger and beers at the local joint in a couple of minutes. All is good with the world. Plus Macha the cat did have her bath today and looks as fluffy as a spring chick

Congrats on the PR’s, the burger can only help refuel you for more.

Great PR after having not done deads for so long!

poor kitty…

Okay, which brand of PP do you use cause I’m always looking for a better tasting one?[/quote]

I processed this as “pee pee.” I really need a break from being around kids 24/7 now that it’s summer!

Another PR. Wow. You’re on fire!

Congrats on the PR. Sometimes that’s the way it is with deads. Your body takes them better after a break.

I did db rows after squats tonight and they kicked my ass too. I wasn’t doing 50lbs either.

Way to go!!

So we decided to restaurant hop last night - one of my favorite activities. There was a massive burger with swiss cheese, plenty of bacon, (pan) fried mushrooms and all this goodness covered in a cognac and peppercorn sauce.mmmm. and 2 glasses of wine. 2nd stop was cappucinos and brownies. Third stop was checking out a new joint. Had grilled calamari salad and a 3rd glass of wine oh my god this was good. We are certainly trying that place again.

Joe: All this food should make my recovery rather easy. I actually feel pretty good this morning.

soldog: kitty is still hiding this morning and has turned me into a cat killer for all the neighbors that heard her cry.

Snap: poor woman, you really need a mini parent vacay.

O: My rows had a lot of swing in em - does that make em kroc or just bad? lol.

Mim: Hi survivor of crazy heat. hang in there and hunt the AC.

I don’t feel so bad for my debauchery yesterday, which in total was probably less cals than what you had!
sounded delicious!

Next Friday= veggie thin crust pizza and wings…

Kept it short cause I’m still a little fried from yesterday’s deads and we have another family BBQ today - on the husband’s side of the family this time.

pullups 1x1 - tried for 2 but no go.
with bands 3x5

squats
65lbs 1x8
95lbs 3x12

front squats
75lbs 3x6

wide grip cable pull down
85lbs 1x8
75lbs 1x8
65lbs 1x12

and thats that.

Regarding the db rows, mine had so much English in them it was like a story.

Have fun at the bbq.

to swing or not to swing - that is the question

And if one is married, it adds even more complexity to the question.

Yes to your DL PR!! 240 is HUGE! I’m sure the rack pulls helped a ton. Smart move.

Yes to bacon cheeseburgers with mushrooms. Your muscles probably thanked you for that.

lol! “Regarding the db rows, mine had so much English in them it was like a story.” I just got that. I try not to swing, but it happens.
