You’re obviously a woman after my own heart. (This was taken on New Year’s Eve - I’d worn the same dress to the work Chritmas party with high heeled boots, but the pain was so unbearable I walked home in my stockinged feet in freezing rain rather than subject my feet to any more of that torture. So Chucks for the NYE party).
hehe, That’s awesome Cal!
When I was in service school(across the street from bootcamp, literally) I would wear long skirts and little kid t-shirts+ my boots, trying to salvage a piece of non-military Betty ![]()
HAH! That is pretty badass - dresses and chucks. I once tried to rock that look, but my calves are too thick for stuff like that. That’s probably why I wear heels actually, to eeeeeelongate my stumpy legs.
Mim: I used to hate shopping because I was trying to “fit” into whatever was in style. The trick is to learn your body and understand what suits you better. Once you’ve done the initial homework of understanding your shape shopping becomes a breeze. I can go through a rack and pick out maybe 1 or 2 peices. However since you’ve had such a body transformation that probably isn’t very easy either.
My body shape - hips and ass as wide as a ship!
-straight leg pants
-A line skirts
-solid classic colors (especially more expensive peices so they never go out of style)
-belt places emphasis and tiny waist rather than hips
-heels give me a few centimers more in height to focus on legs rather than hips…
-use peices that highlight the things you like about yourself - if you’ve got a nice rack go for cleavage, great arms and shoulders: halter and tanks, legs: shorts and skirts…
I find my face very square so I tend to go for V-neck peices which elongate it.
ect… and when you’ve got that down pat do somthing totally different just to see the results. usually I’m right and they don’t flatter me but once in a while I will be surprised by the results.
CBear: didn’t take you for a shoe girl at all I stand corrected and you have permission to use my shoes for whatever perpose you deem fit.
Snap: people tend to kiss the pretty morsels although there might be some chucks fetishists out there.
T: blushing don’t get whistled out very often, this geek is tongue tied ![]()

Cal: that dress is really cute, I’m sure you girls have all heard of ballet flats? They can save an outfit on a day where the feet won’t deal with heals. Or you can be all baddass and wear your chucks.
Here are my kickass boots that I wore at a costume party a couple of years back.
Kisses to whoever guesses my costume!
Well, now. I adore that pic and love that style.
Lara Croft, tomb raider??
I haven’t experimented enough with what looks good…I’ve never been at a weight long enough…mostly I’ve just worn gym cloths for 8 years and dressing up is t-shirt and Levis ![]()
you do tarot readings too? I think I <3 you…

blowing kisses your way MIM- yup laura croft. And I do tarot reading once in a blue moon. My mother read cards her whole life. I’ve learned from the best but I don’t bring them out too often. I believe in making your own path and people can grow dependant on the idea of “fate”.
I usually bring them along at halloween for entertainment, I read in exchange for free booze. lol. My brother was dressed as Elton John.
^ I dig ![]()
I used to wear real ballet flats years ago - my parents both worked at the Royal Opera House and would bring me some home for free. I remember at uni I would wear black leggings, a polo neck and the ballet flats, often with a black beret, like some 50s Beatnik chick. Except that I lacked the Audrey Hepburn phyisque to pull it off. I always had an arse like a shire horse.
Problem I have now is that I have duck feet - that’s to say, very narrow in the heel, but wide in the toe, so my heels lift straight out of any kind of slip on shoe. I have to wear boots or something with laces or straps. Besides, the last time I wore ballet-style shoes, a wasp landed on my instep and stung me for the hell of it. Bastard.
I need new ballet flats. My last pair met with an accident involving an angry cat trapped in my bedroom.
Nlmain, you and i have more in common than i knew…
sorry girls, but i have to tell you i hate those ballet flats. i absolutely love heels to try and elongate the legs and make me taller. i think i got that from my mom-she was 5’1 or maybe 5’2 and always wore heels.
(stevie nicks, my favoritest singer in the whole wide world…“i wear my boots all summer long…”)
although i have a couple pairs of spikey heeled boots, i prefer chunky heels. my favs are some sketchers, think biker boots. the whole bottom of the boot is raised, the heel is extra. ooh i looked like such a badass in my harley riding days with them and chaps on…(that was on the back with a fella, not me riding on my own…tears)
Hi N, just catching up!
Nice training post-vacay, first of all.
Love your new outfits, and yes, the red shoes are super hot. Also love the black ones you paired with the little black dress, they are very classy and sexy, and seem to hug your feet perfectly.
Very cool about the tarot reading - I used to be very into all that ‘new age’ stuff when I was young. Got a book to train my palm-reading skills. I also had a cool experience with one of my synchro teammates once, we were very much on the same ‘wavelength’ and played a game where we had to guess what shape the other was thinking of. Never got it wrong (unless she was lying).
Lovely red shoes, my go to dress up shoes are a pair of red stillettos. Red shoes make everything better. A 225 DL? Also awesome.

pics or they don’t exist! ![]()
Cal = you seem to have the strangest luck, wasps in shoes is no bueno.
Kimba = for some reason my kitty chews on the husband’s shoelaces only. Go figure. She probably knows she would end up tranformed into a slipper if she touched mine.
T= you absolutley need a picture with said sketchers. I won’t sleep until you do it.
Blue= lovely of you to drop by. I’m heading by your log in a moment to see if you have graced us with a pic of your pencil skirt with viagra-like properties ![]()
