Injury in Trap

Need some input from some guys who might of had this problem in there life time .Been injecting for over 5 yrs age is 50 yrs . About a month ago I injected into my trap as soon as I finshed I knew I hit a nerv & did it ever hurt . Within 24 hrs my trap had dropped almost to half . Went to my sport doc got him to look at it did some therapy for 2 wks in that time my trap even dropped more by this time I had no trap at all .

All the doc’s say they don’t know if it will ever come back none of them have exp in gear use but know it was done by injection . Has anyone ever heard of this or had it happen to them ? Its now been 3 mons my main doc said it could take up to 16 months till I might see anything . I refuse to think I will never get it back .

I’m thinking very positive about this even if I can’t do a show next yr there is always the next to let the body heal better is the only way I’m thinking . If any one knows of certain exersises I should do input is needed .

I’m not an expert or even experienced in this area, but logic would dictate that if you injured a nerve in the trap, causing shutdown, then you need to address it as a nerve regeneration/reactivation issue. An exercise won’t help because the brain can’t talk to it. Research out there is not encouraging and you may just have to wait it out, as your doctor says.

I am not a doctor, so certainly don’t take anything I say as authoritative…
