What I find funniest in this thread, is that I have now found out there is a group of people who are supposedly the lifters with the most potential.
I can’t wait till all of them realize there are actually other people on the planet/T NATION who can actually make progress.
Fucking hilarious.
They didn’t say that others couldn’t make progress, just that they were.
TBH, there’s no way you can say they aren’t some of the best on these boards development-wise, especially taking age into consideration.
As a younger guy, Bug, HolyMac, Waylander, ebomb, kingbeef and a lot of the other original BOI guys are those I pay the most attention to. Is their attitude “elitist” or “cliquelike”? Arguably, but I would only hold it against them if they made a huge deal out of it, rather than just using it to reference the people in the group.

I certainly don’t treat anyone differently that isn’t in our group. Like I said though, it 50% a social group too. We talk about fucking girls, taking rec drugs, lifting, school, work etc. For the most part we’ve all hung out in real life too. It’s a just a group of friends that happens to be pretty good at bodybuilding/powerlifting.
LOL at bringing up race constantly yet acting like the other guy did it.
It’s like Bizarro world in here.
Congrats to guys like Bwhitwell. I am amazed as usual. Too bad these forums won’t allow much further progression at this point as far as that “community” issue.

Fair enough. But you get how I would never have know that right? lol.
I never really noticed either way to be honest. I’m not saying that to be a doucher either. I never really did.
Sometimes I wonder if now that you said it, people look for it, and it “makes it true”.
I have no idea.
While I feel like you are taking his words a bit too literal here… In all honestly, genetically speaking, the chance of that “being true” is probably pretty good.
Is there another MJ selling pizza around the corner from Bonez’ house? No, because he would have been MJ. Everything has to fall into place in order to be the GOAT.
But out of 6 billion people, I’m sure there is a dude or two who could have been a hall of fame third baseman, but instead of going to practice one day at 16 tried smack. That is what makes the people that make it so special; all the people that failed before them.
I’m not saying it’s common, but there are certainly people that “had it all” and fucked up. And a couple people that had an outside chance, but never put in the work.
Hey, I don’t know. Maybe I’m a fool for believing that. It is certainly not common… But it isn’t impossible either.

Black guy selling pizza? Wut.
That may be more insane than a 500lb incline press
Whats the point in voicing that you don’t like Professor X’s ( or anyone else’s for that matter ) personality? Who gives a fuck what you like or don’t like in someone else? X has been around since the start, and has contributed more than the rest of us put together to this forum. By now I am sure that you know his personality inside and out. If you don’t like what he says to you, don’t talk to him or read his posts. There is also an “ignore” feature where his posts won’t even show up. I have several people on it myself. But the stupid shit of talking about individuals to other individuals in front of everyone is as vag as you can get.
X is a a really good guy. He has opinions that he conveys, just like the rest of us, on all the topics we discuss. Read them, offer your opinion if you have one, then move on. I’ve never understood why people have to constantly get into personal attacks when they are in a discussion on internet forums. All you have to say is “I don’t agree with that” or “Fuck you, I think its this other way” even, instead of acting like a bunch of god damn cheerleaders in the powder room talking about the girl in the shower.
There is no way you can say that ANY of tension started for personal reasons. I honestly dont believe any of the regular posters who have gotten into recent argumetns have done so because they dont like the person being disagreed with.
I am not able to speak for how anyone else feels but in my case it has simply been to call out bullshit when bullshit has been posted. It never has been and it never will be personal.
I really dont see how you can criticize others for dishing out personal attacks. That is easily in the top 3 of X’s repertoire when it comes to debating. I assume youve had plenty of private communication with him and others from this board over the years. So you know he is a good guy, I believe it. But defending him by critizing others is simply saying that the ‘others’ are not good guys. How can you criticize people for making personal attacks and then say that someone who is possibly BEST KNOWN for personal attacks is a ‘good guy’. Are we really the cheerleaders?
So it would probably be better to be less hypocritical or maybe say nothing at all on this particular issue.

From a psychological perspective this thread was fascinating. Bodybuilders/Alpha Males/Athletes have this reputation for being overly aggressive neanderthals. What does this thread deliver? A giant cock-crossing pissing match and chest beating.
OK, now it’s time to end this thread. If it’s still going tomorrow night I’m posting ‘progress pics’. Check my RMP thread if you don’t know what that means. NO ONE wants to see that. So just let it drop guys
edit: I may just send special PM’s to anyone who continues to post in this thread tomorrow.

There’s nothing hypocritical about what I said. If you don’t like whats being said to you, even if you believe the guy thats saying it is being immature or got personal with you, you don’t whine and complain and get personal like some chick. Just stick to the points of the discussion.

Half the issue is there is only so many ways someone can build a bigger physique, if TNation started following bodybuilding/strongman/power lifting in great detail there would be a lot more to discuss in the body building forum.
I’ve wondered why Biotest doesn’t send photographers to events, it would give people something extra to talk about - discussing the latest competition, competitors etc. Unfortunately people have to go to competitors sites to get updates and discuss the latest body building show.
