While no one here should have a goal of actually being destructive to their health, those of you who act as if the goal is to win a contest of how much fruit you eat might just be in the wrong place.
The goal here is progress. If you are making none, no one cares how great you think your personal diet is.
This site causes most people making real progress to avoid this place like the plague because of little jackasses with 15" arms who insist on acting like the rest of us have to take note of their existence in every thread.
Please stop this shit.
Every single one you little fuckers here should be glad anyone over 200lbs even takes the time to write a response here at all.
Quit running off the Goldbergs, the Bauers, the Lewhitehursts and everyone else who put you fuckers to shame with little effort.
Wow - hey, no problem man. I still don’t see how that’s what you got out of yesterday’s discussion, but clearly there aren’t many people here worthy of being in your presense.
Obviously, you have accomplished what most other people never will, and like I said yesterday, there’s little need for someone like me to even post anything anyway, since all anyone really needs is to listen to you, and the guys who are developed enough to be allowed to speak.
So, best of luck in making these boards what you want them to be. : )
I get your point. Health is important only to the extent of affecting your mood and energy. I feel better an have more energy when I eat a certain way. This translates to better workouts.
Some people look and feel great eating brats and bacon 24/7. If you are getting what you need to build muscle and have the energy to lift hard, anything else is pretty inconsequential. Certainly many parts of BBing aren’t in line with longevity. In fact, for much of the sport, I feel that’s one of the sacrifices the top guys have to make.

It’s not just that thread. It’s the accumulated fatigue of all the other threads where people ostensibly ask you a question or say they need help and when you try to do that it becomes a pissing match over this theory some person who isn’t progressing read over what has worked in real life. I actually think that some guys jump in just to stir the pot.
If they were simple debates over differing philosophies that the differing posters had put into play that both worked, that is a worthwhile debate. Arguing about what you have read or what you heard without putting it into play or at least having SEEN someone put it into play and achieve results is annoying.

I thought small children were as nutritious if not more nutritious than vegetables and fruits put together?
Children powder or whole food children?
Obviously if you’re a noob then there’s no need for the powder, just make sure you eat one small child once or twice per week.
As you grow bigger and more advance the benefits of children powder become essential and at this time a few scoops will be very beneficial.

I’m actually surprised at how quickly a simple inquiry into your eating habits exploded into that other thread.

So am I. No one in that thread even questioned whether the big guys knew how to eat to get big.
Overall I thought this board improved over the last few months. I mean, I haven’t read every single thread, but the ones I did read weren’t so bad.
My first thought to PX’s post here was “Is this actually surprising to anyone?”
I haven’t been here as long as others, but it seems pretty much the same since I’ve been around. Same arguments, same questions, same outbursts. It’s unfortunate. The T-cell seems to do okay though.
Professor X has a valid point and I just got through most of that thread about what he eats and can see where he’s coming from.
I don’t have anyone specific in mind but there have been many posts in my time here that are questions about weight-training that are so esoteric that you’d assume the poster is an elite bodybuilder who would actually have to worry about such things…then you discover through his pics that he’s 170lbs and has barely developed his biceps and chest through 3 months of, well, curling and benching.
It’s great to come to this site and get motivated, but not to sound like a prick, I could probably turn off the internet, never buy another Muscle & Fitness, but still know what to do if I wanted to get big and strong.
Maybe that’s why 90% of my posts are in “Get A Life”… I think I pretty much know it all and can just hang out and discuss useless stuff!
I actually found yesterday’s thread interesting but I was amazed how the thread derailed after what I thought was a pretty clear and obvious question. Conversation skills - asking a question, letting the person who you asked the question respond, clarifying the question if need be, etc. - gets lost when everyone tries to speak at once. There are advantages to real time face-to-face conversations.

Well, like I said, I seriously doubt most of the bigger guys here see it any other way. I am sure Bonez is as fed up with the bullshit as Waylander is.
It is no surprise that some of the smaller guys don’t see a problem.

No, I see the problem. Which is why I won’t be posting anymore. I do not wish to be part of any problem, and I never hang around where I’m not wanted. Point taken - you don’t have to worry about hearing anything at all from me anymore.
Ironically, I only started posting again recently because of your post in T-Cell, but no worries - I’m done.

I will miss your input but I definitely understand where you are coming from. Good luck to you.

I agree with you about that, but people also seem to have REALLY shitty comprehension. I’m talking about the new guys who get told that they’re not eating enough to grow and respond with: “But I’m eating 3000 calories!”.
Or people arguing about different topics, like in the other thread. It became about life extension vs. bodybuilding, people weren’t talking about the same thing. (Note: I’m not insulting/calling out people from that thread, I respect people on both sides of that argument).

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I’m not doing anything so dramatic as closing my account, but I won’t be participating in most, if not all, discussions.
I like it here despite the fact, and I will continue to read and follow people’s progress. And I will continue to post progress photos in my profile for anyone that cares to check it out. : )
