Great avatar, Gerdy. Buy why the face off?

thanks man.

Well I was tired of recieving messages of people questioning why I bodybuild as if it is out of the norm on this site to want to look like dennis wolf .vs. brad pitt.

I also got tired of dimwits coming into seemingly every thread just to argue.

On top of that some of the regular posters have gone from contributors to just smart asses themselves.

I wanted to get a reaction and honestly see if there were enough people in this thread worth hanging around…once I saw there was I wanted to see if I can rally people up to at least change what is expected of this forum.

I like tnation and I wanted a bodybuilding forum…it doesn’t have to be a competitive bodybuilding forum, but at least one where the serious can come to.

I know there will always be ‘trolls’ or whatever you want to call them, but being a person that just sits back and does nothing about it lets them run rampant through the forum. You can’t just ignore something and hope it goes away.

I wanted to see if we could change the attitude of this forum with the vets here.

It’s because I see what little tolerance there is in the roid forum and I believe it’s because the vets don’t take any shit from the bozo’s that post there.

I think we can do the same.

Also I always appreciate your advice, wisdom, and words Iron Dwarf.

DG

I think he meant why the black dot over your face in your avatar picture?

lol oh

haha, well I speak a lot on the roid forums and kind of like keeping it hard to figure out…

I’ll probably just post up with the real me soon…name and all since I’m on MD so people can look at the pics and figure it out easy enough.

you know I really didn’t see anything on the previous thread that could be considered shit talking. The OP just seems to be overly sensitive when someone disagrees with him or tries to debate a point and tends to over-react.

I’ve noticed this on other threads too which were not specifically related to bodybuilding.

for the record anyone who combines weight training and diet control for the purpose of improve their physique/body is doing bodybuilding. If you want to restrict a topic or forum to only people focused on competitive bodybuilding then you need to explicitly state so.

Guys with those goals represent a minority among the total people involved in bodybuilding. Most people have very different goals but are no less bodybuilders and thus you have to make it very clear when you are only addressing the minority. Otherwise you are only going to cause yourself grief and provoke arguments.

it’s kind of like posting a general topic on a strength forum but then expecting only suited up powerlifters to respond. Unless you specifically make a thread for suited up powerlifters you are going to provoke responses from a whole range of people involved in strength sports. [/quote]

Please. That definition includes the elderly women at the gym right now as well who are too weak to even put the pin in the weight stack.

This is a bodybuilding board where “relentless” is used in the title as far as the approach to building muscle. Every jackass taking up space in the gym is NOT relentlessly trying to gaion muscle.

It would be greatly appreciated if you and those who think like you would quit watering down the forums.

Uh - yea. That’s exactly what he did.

The thread was called “The Thread for Actual Bodybuilders.”
To further clarify, he made it obvious what the criteria was.

So again, this idea of everyone’s god given right to be an argumentative douchebag rears its ugly head again.

Obviously, some people are never going to understand this concept…

Ha. That’s funny. If you post a thread about equipped powerlifting, you’ll probably end up with a thread bashing “cheater suits”.

While that’s true Buckeye, I don’t see that forum being polluted with people saying they want to get a little strong(or maybe not stronger at all lol) but not push to their limits.

There can be arguments over methods and styles of bodybuilding(mass monsters, classic physiques) but the fact that the fundamental aspects of bodybuilding of getting big, having good shape and being lean are questioned… in a bodybuilding forum… makes you go hmmm.

Hey man good luck at your show, only thread to do it in since i cant post in the cell.

I’m well aware of your issues with stupid, argumentative posters. That’s why I come here for laughs and go to the T-cell for info. When someone in a BBing forum says that 5’6 200 is too big and won’t look good in clothes and that a healthy underwear model type look is preferred, something is wrong.

I was just saying that strength sports gets its fair share of idiots too.

Wat a GAY thread. If you don’t wish to post then don’t, no need to open a thread just to say how disappointed you are and how and that you wont post any longer. No one cares BTW.

Ummm… People looking to gain knowledge from someone who has actually accomplished something, not just read a fucking article care.

Jesus your stupid.

What is the point of a forum if experienced and knowledgeable people won’t post on it because of retarded statements like yours?

You know what’s funny.

When I first joined this site, I wasn’t interested in BBing. So… I never came to this forum. Every time I saw it on the forum list I skipped over it, because I figured it had nothing to do with me or my goals.

Since wanting to put on much more muscle mass I began coming to this specific forum.
funny how others without the goal of putting on serious muscle will poke their head in, much less give their 2 cents.

There is a point here. There’s 100 things I don’t particularly like and it just so happens I have never joined a forum where people who are into those things hang out so I can tell them how much I don’t like it.

I skip over this forum because of the jackasses. I read the occasional thread started by people I know won’t degrade the topic at hand, and I read the T-Cell.

He’s a troll, not worth arguing with.

the bar at the top of this page should be renamed to

“the intelligent and relentless pursuit of HAWT ABZ”

that is what has become of the majority of these forums

I believe Player has posted here before using at least 2 different IDs. The bad english, poor understanding of slang and meaningless capitalization were a giveaway. Will need more confirmation though…
