Short of that - stop making shit up. The asshole came into a sobdy building forum and started waving his vagina.
What the fuck ever happened to reading shit?
You fucking little brats need to go back to school - or just get the fuck out of a thread titled “I Do Want To Be Huge” in a fucking Bodybuilding forum.
Had this been a thread about functional strength, or rabbit fucking, then maybe you would have a point. It’s not - so just fucking leave.

Agree 100% with old man here
This is for the most part a BODYBUILDING WEBSITE, not zomgz hai guiz i wanna be tonezzz for da ladieszzz, no that’s like men fitnesghey, Jesus freakin’ Christ, how much more does it need to spelled out to OMC or whatever your name that this place isn’t for you.

I haven’t read every post in this thread, but I don’t see anyone getting put down for their goals. I see people getting put down because they are butting in to a conversation that has nothing to do with them. If you don’t want to get huge, DON’T POST IN THE BODYBUILDING THREAD IN THE BODYBUILDING FORUM.
It’s like people are coming into the Fantasy Football League discussion, and trying to change the conversation to Texas Hold 'Em.
This is our corner. Your corner is over there somewhere. There won’t be any judgement, nor any insults if you stick to the subject at hand. And if you can’t do that, go away. Stop trying to turn this discussion into another T-Nation trainwreck. Thank you.
Are you kidding me? Do you honestly think most of the “I don’t want to get too HEEYOOGE” crowd has specific goals? Of course they don’t. The average person making this statement doesn’t follow bodybuilding at all and simply thinks they know what they DO NOT want to be as if they have to actively avoid it or it will happen by accident. To think otherwise is to truly believe that women have a clue when they make the same comment.
I disagree X. For the most part people who set out on a journey to change their body are motivated by the fact that they don’t like it. Who are you to say that my friends don’t work their asses off to improve their appearance ?
They don’t follow bodybuilding yet they bust their asses to get to a decent level of physique, I see it everyday. Almost all the guys who wanna get huge have looked at body building pics and said “shit I wanna look, like that guy” Thats seting a limiting goal. ALMOST all.
I reckon that you probably have a similar approach to me in “I wanna be myself…only better” But there is an entire thread dedicated to that question right here on T-Nation. You gonna just judge every man who has posted there? And don’t give me the “but they’re elite guys they are striving to be”. It is still a limiting factor.
Personally I think your being too demanding of noobs. Thats my opinion, I understand your’s differs and I would have no wish to change it. I simply don’t care enough. What I do care about is the feeling of being better than the smaller guys that has become evident at times. I’m not naming you as I’ve seen you give good solid advice…but it does exist.
You actively avoid your skinny past…it works both ways.
The only specific goals these guys have IS TO IMPROVE…you telling me you don’t share that goal? In this instance the line isn’t blured X. Its the same damn line.

If, however, your rants of how you despise muscle mass are coming from the mouth of someone who doesn’t play any sports on that level and your main concern is whether your sized medium Banana Republic cotton pull-over still looks Backstreet Boy-tastic, you are a pussy of the highest order.
ala Prof X
I’m quite sure nobody has come on here sayin how they despise muscle mass. Certainly not me. Go find a quote for that rainjack if you must.
As for you rainjack…I didn’t miss the fact that you had zero to say to my response earlier. You were put in your box…now stay in it till you have the decency to debate something rather than just insult others who do not share all your points of view.

I would say the same about 90% or more of the people in most gyms this very moment. Most of them DO NOT UNDER ANY CERTAIN TERMS WORK THEIR ASSES OFF and they half ass their way through their training and diet. If you honestly believe most people are “working their asses off” simply because they showed up at the gym, this conversation should end right here. You would clearly be delusional.

This…was simply stupid. That is like saying the kid who looks at Dr. Michael E. DeBakey (world famous heart surgeon) and wants to be like him is “setting a limiting goal”. Uh, right. Because wanting to be like the very best in the world is…limiting.
Wow.
There is actually no need at all to even respond to the rest of that.

Ha having read it back I suppose your right.
But 90 % is a whole lot diferent to labling an entire group of peoples pussies. The point I was trying…(and failing) to get across.
OMC
The other arbitrary 10% would be ‘working their asses off’ because they have a specific mental image of where they are trying to get to and they won’t let anything stop them. This mentality is far far different than some newbie who hasn’t succeeded at anything in the gym yet is convinced that he can and will get “too huge” and must do something to prevent it.
The difference is drive and determination. You actually have the vacancy of thought to believe that someone like that would have the same drive and determination as the guy who says to himself, “I will not stop until I reach my goal”.
One of them will push themselves for another rep even though every muscle fiber is screaming out for them to quit. One will not.
One of them is going to get 6 meals down today no matter what, even if it means carrying a 20lbs cooler with them to class. One of them will not.
One of them is going to listen to anyone who has achieved what they want themselves, take that info and keep what works for them. the other…will listen to “insert author here”, avoid listening to any real world experience (because big muscles obviously mean that person is clueless), and will be pretty much in the same condition next year as they are right now.
If you honestly believe this is not the case, then maybe you should avoid any further debate. It is clearly pointless as you must think every person in the gym is focused and determined.
This site used to be for the extreme. Now…it is for those who try really really hard to be average.

Funny… i agree with everything you have said above…apart from your assumption that I think otherwise. We are now debating nothing as we share the same views. It is that 10% that I am standing up for…and the fact that out of every 10…you can’t know instantly which one has that spark…that drive…that something that makes them a t-man.
The PM ~I sent you earler may shed more light on my views. If you don’t agree with them. Rather than clutter up this thread anymore…I again suggest that arguing sould be done via PM.
Keep on hittin that IRON guys…screw genetics…if you wan’t it bad enough…
I’d say 10% is very very generous here. It’s not even 10% of the posters on a bodybuilding forum that used to be dangerously hardcore(cough this one cough), much less 10% of your average gym goers.
Working your ass off in my mind when it comes to bodybuilding isn’t just about that hour or so in the gym 3-5 times a week. There are plenty of gym warriors who go after it with a nasty attitude in the gym but you usually can count on one hand the amount of guys who are taking that same do or die attitude about their goals(and I’m talking about getting “oh my god who let a gorilla out of the zoo” big type goals") when it comes to getting the food in, doing the cardio taking the supplements etc.
Today or tomorrow when you go to the gym take a quick scan around the place and tell me if out of say 100 people(if it’s busy) how many guys you could bet your bottom dollar on that have put on 75+ lbs from their adult weight. Not the guys who were 140 lbs at 15 and 190 at 20, nobody cares about most of that weight gain. If you’ve got at least 10 people who fit this description then you sure have a hell of a gym. And you’ve got a 750+ lbs of gained muscle in that group of guys to learn from to reach your goals…

What is there to say to an utter fucking fool that can’t read that hasn’t already been said? It’s not like You are going to understand what i write if you past performance is any indicator of future results.
Let me break it down into Oprah-ese for you since you can’t seem to understand a fucking thing when men are speaking: It is not what he says, or what you say that is offensive. I really don’t care if you want to be big, or if you want to enjoy dressing up in your mother’s under garments when she leaves you alone to go to work. Honestly - to think I would give a shit about you, or anyone like you is assuming way too much of yourself.
Has your dad ever told you that there is a time and a place for saying certain things? I am sure he did - you just never understood what it meant.
This forum - the BODYBUILDING FORUM and particularly this thread “I DO WANT TO BE HUGE” - is not really the place for you and your band of pussies to show up showing off your ILS. No one cares. This is not the place to debate how fucking brilliant you are because you read a god damned book, or you got a fucking PM returned from Thibs. No one fucking cares.
I don’t go into your "I love Care Bears"thread and start ragging on your goals. I don’t go in there and take for my friend that thinks the smurfs rule and Care Bears drool. I have the common decencey to shit the fuck up and let you guys talk about Care Bears all you want.
Why is that too fucking hard for you to understand? Once again - no one gives a damn how smart you think you are. Mabe you should go find somehwere that you are loved and respected for being a pussy.

I hate the word “T-man” as it has been bastardized and overused by way too many who…aren’t. I think the ones who are driven are pretty damn easy to pick out in a crowd. There is one Indian guy at my gym who is a beginner. In the past few months he has remained extremely consistent and now would be considered “big” to a lot of people.
I only bring him up because I only know this kid casually. I make an effort to speak to him because I can see his drive when he trains. His progress tells me he is doing what he needs to in the kitchen. His effort in the gym tells me how badly he wants this. There is no way “I don’t wanna be huge-Guy” is going to train like that or make that type of progress in that amount of time.
These people are not hidden. They never have been. The pussies are pretty easy to point out as well.

I agree completely. At my gym, where I’m going in the next two hours, there may be 4 other guys who I would consider “hardcore”. Their size isn’t even the issue. However, these guys are impressive in how they train and the results they get. Most of the people in gyms are just taking up space.

That it has…but I do not hold low standards for its use personally. To be called a T-man in my opinion requires a lot more than posting on a site. I hope that one day I will meet that standard that I have set…I will meet those standards. That is what the real goal for those on this site should be. IMO

I never made that point. It is sad when you have to continually make shit up to feel like a big boy. I do have a hint for you. We grownups deal in truth. making shit up is not truth. It is what we call lies.
You have never made an attempt at communicating, unless you have redefined the term to mean everyone read what you write because you are the defender of the defenseless. You have basically been called out for being full of shit by at least 3 people in this thread alone. Yet you continue to think your posts mean something.
I sincerely hope you grow up and figure out how to listen and stop lying. At the very least, learn how to read.
