I,BB without Anaconda Protocol?

I currently live in Thailand and have no problem buying Anaconda but with shipping costs it can be almost double the amount which would be too much for me to afford. That’s why I’m curious, should I even bother using the I,BB format without Anaconda?

While the supplement protocol would obviously better allow your body to recover form the strenuous training sessions, there is still a hell of a lot of thought and planning put into the IBB program itself. I’m certain you could follow it and make gains. Simply from implementing the HTH approaches Christian recommends, you are bound to see some progress. Obviously everyone has a different recovery ability, and as the crux of the program is a rotating specialization approach, you should certainly make sure your eating and sleeping are in order, and of course if you start feeling worn down, maybe reassess a bit.

Thanks for the quick reply. I’ll continue it and see how my body responds to it over the next 2-3 weeks

I’m 2 weeks into the shoulder spec. of I,BB using the following workout nutrition:

30min preworkout- 1 scoop Grow! + 1 scoop rice oligodextrin

During -Casein hydroslate + creatine monohydrate + 2L water + crystal light

Postworkout-2 scoops Grow! + banana

This along with icing my shoulders after lifting has left me 0 recovery issues and my shoulders still feel great. However once I start my summer job I’m going to start saving for Anaconda :stuck_out_tongue:

Also gotta say putting down 2L during has me taking sometimes up to 4 piss breaks!

Over the summer, I was training with principles that I put together from I, BB, or at least what I could figure out. Turns out that it was similar to the program more so than I thought. I had no problems with recovery and made some great strength/lean mass gains. I’m sure they would have been better with the Anaconda protocol, but I still was doing fine.

2-3 weeks??? jeez!

I suggest you at least train on the program for at least a couple of months, it will probably take you 2-3 weeks alone to figure out what the heck you are doing - especially when you don’t have CT telling you what you are doing wrong.

If you were reading anything about IBB you will understand that it isn’t really about just hitting x number of reps for x number of sets on any given day. It’s about the implementation of a rep, knowing when to do more work or indeed less on any given day.

I meant I’ll see whether or not my body responds poorly on Phase 1 in the first 2-3 weeks. As in I’ll make changes in diet/rest. Didn’t necessarily mean changing to another program.

Good, because like everything else to do with weights you get out what you put in.

The program doesn’t know if you are using ANACONDA or not so it cant “decide not to work” despite what anyone tells you.
