Out of curiosity and a desire to bust through a fat-loss plateau, I decided to run a Humapro fast last Wednesday. 6 scoops, spread throughout the day, followed by a cheat day on Thursday. I lost 4 pounds from Tuesday evening to Thursday morning, which is about what I expected considering I was carb-depleted already. After my cheat day, I was up 2 pounds on Friday morning, but I was noticeably leaner (well, by previous standards haha) and more vascular. The extra two pounds have stayed off so far.
I’m planning on running the same thing for a few more weeks to see if it’s replicable or if I just got lucky.
funny, i bought 480 tabs. 10 tabs is 10g. I’ve taken 1-2 bottles of this stuff over a long period of time (not as a main protein source) and liked the ease of accessibility and addition of a glucose-dispoal agent. Strangely enough if i take it on an empty stomach before bed i feel unable to fall asleep.

I haven’t tried Humapro yet, but I did notice an energy boost that would sometimes keep me from sleeping well when I was taking hydrolyzed casein on an empty stomach. Not sure why.

Don’t shoot the messenger, but HumaPro has long since been suspected of having “something extra” in the mix. I think it was covered earlier in this thread, maybe not.
I personally don’t care. At all… Because it works.

…the Var comment?
While I dont doubt that some supp companies spike their products with hormones, I doubt theyd choose one of the more expensive ones.

“Nothing like whey protein?.and 1g of it will be equivalent to 5.6g of pharmaceutical whey protein. (that?s right?the kind in IV bags at hospitals). Very little waste, 99% Anabolic, and due to its efficiency servings are 5-10g up to 4 times a day.”
I’m assuming 1 scoop is 5 grams and 2 scoops is 10.
1g hpro=5.6g whey::5g hpro-28g whey.
i mean unless im reading that wrong or they are lying?

Your guess is as good as mine… From the site:
“Moreover, with HumaProÃ?® what you are consuming has only .4 calories per gram and that the utilization equivalent of 5 grams is the same as 28g of whey or soy protein.”
What I’m really wondering is how much better is this stuff than just plain EEA’s?
While I don’t have an answer to that, BBB recommended in another EAA/BCAA thread to take 5-10g leucine about 10 minutes before you take your EAA’s to optimize the anabolic effect.
I bought this stuff just to say I tried it, and can form my own opinion about it.
However, I am still not convinced that its not just a glorified BCAA powder, and that similar effects could occur by supplementing a different/much cheaper brand.

Yeah, I def notice better recovery with extra leucine in the mix… I was mainly asking from a cost to efficiency stand point. For 1 scoop of Humapro (5g EAA) I can get about 18g EAA powder. So are the ‘nano sized aminos’ and ‘anti catabolic/insulinogenic’ really what make it that good? (rhetorical/thinking out loud)

I have an idea.
Try supplementing with 40g of EAAs per day as your ONLY protein source. I did it with HumaPro, if they’re the same, you can do it with EAAs.

Right?
No.
Your body type, your level of muscle mass, your training are all individual. Comparing his results on EAAs to your use of Humapro wouldn’t tell us anything. It would only work if you dieted on EAAs this time around and compared your results.
Now I’m not telling you to do this, I’m just saying we wouldn’t be able to accurately discern the effectiveness of Humapro while dieting vs EAAs.
That being said, you guys have peaked my interest in this product. When summer rolls around and I want to lean up, I will give Humapro a shot.

Has anyone else noticed the powder doesn’t mix well in water any more and becomes all frothy?
thats the steroid powder!!
Nah it’s all the cocaine they’re putting in it. Them shitz froth up like a mofo.
But SRS, I have two scoops for every workout (using a blender bottle) and I’ve never had a problem with mixing it. Gets a little frothy at first but I’m not choking down powder or anything.
