hey guys…i’ve been bulking and doing “Total body training” i’ve gained 3 lbs and saw strength gains pretty much in all places.
…BUT i feel a LOT fatter, when i put my hands on my lower back…like holy shit theres so much fat there now and i also saw my face getting a bit bigger ( sucks btw ) but i’m going to finish bulking after 12 weeks.
so i was wondering in how to lose fat while maintaining muscle…how much calories do you need per day? and the exercise you do? ( not that im going to do it right now and just want to be educated about this and to prepare )
and i can’t find any nice programs, i know theres like a million ones on this site.
posting a link for the program for cutting would be greatly appreciated =]
You didn’t post what you eat. You didn’t post your training routine (examples of weight progression). You didn’t say how long it took to gain 3lbs.
Provide that information first and then maybe someone will be kind enough to fix your errors.
If your avatar is anything close to recent you should not be worrying about maintaining muscle while losing fat for a long time. You still have plenty of potential to gain muscle with minimal fat gain. But you need to do things right.
if you keep cutting everytime you start to feel like you are gaining fat… which in fact you probably havent gained that much, you will stay the same as you are now. you wont change your physique much.stick to the bulking for a bit, especially if like said above that you still look like you do in your avatar
it took me 2 weeks to gain 3 pounds
2 weeks before i could barely bench 140lbs, now i can do 8 reps and 3 sets no problem
before dumbbell press: barely with 50 lbs, now can press 8 times 3 sets no prob
squat went from 140lbs 8 reps to 190 8 reps
before 2 weeks ago i could do 4 pull ups now i can do 6
oh i can curl 40lbs dumbbells for 8, 2 weeks before: 3
yeah i think im gonna fix up myself for a month or so then back to bulking. i have like 30 pounds of pure fat and its really ticking me off…
lol i know, its not that heavy

Your profile says you’re about 5’10 at 160 pounds. As long as all your lifts are going up then you’re fine. If you stall anytime soon then eat up big boy.

life is not a bitch when you are in highschool. your mom and dad feed you, you probably dont have a job, you dont have to pay for any bills, you can basically do whatever you want. but anyways im guessing you are talking about people judging you by appearance? you arent even near fat, “fixing” yourself up for a month or so wont do much… and if you consider that fat and wont keep bulking because of that, im sorry to say that you wont be successful in gaining a decent amount of muscle if you dont ditch that mentality.

oh and when it comes to food…my parents, they never do the right thing as in they ALWAYS buy junk food and other shits that pisses me off. no matter how hard i try to get them not buy, they still buy! it comes to a point that it just drives you insane. when i was 206pounds last year…freaking 40 pounds over weight, they keep on saying " oh you are normal" like WTF?!
it sucks when your school is full of twigs, i mean even the muscle that i have right now, some of them are saying “holy shit you are freaking buff!” ( i know im not )

You could just not eat everything your parents put in the house? Let it sit, either someone else will eat it or it’ll go to waste. Then slowly start asking her to pick up more and more healthy foods you like so the she’ll eventually see the healthy stuff is being eaten and the junk is being left to sit. She’ll get the message as long as you have the discipline to let it sit.

Lets just go ahead and admit that you don’t know how to bulk. Once you’ve got that through your skull, maybe it will make it easier for you to trust the guys who do know how to bulk when they tell you to keep bulking, and maybe clean up your diet a bit, instead of falling into a cut bulk cut bulk cycle that doesn’t get you anywhere. You need to stop being afraid of a number on the scale. I promise you that you’ll look much different at 206lbs if you’re moving some serious iron when you get there, compaired to how you looked when you where a fat 206lb. Also, if you’ve only gained 3lbs, you can’t be “A LOT FATTER”, at most you’re a little fatter.
