weren’t you eating like 1200 cals a day while trying to bulk?
nah it was trying to lose weight, and yes i know it was very stupid. btw when i was bulking these 2 weeks i’ve been eating 2500+ calories per day
Lets just go ahead and admit that you don’t know how to bulk. Once you’ve got that through your skull, maybe it will make it easier for you to trust the guys who do know how to bulk when they tell you to keep bulking, and maybe clean up your diet a bit, instead of falling into a cut bulk cut bulk cycle that doesn’t get you anywhere. You need to stop being afraid of a number on the scale. I promise you that you’ll look much different at 206lbs if you’re moving some serious iron when you get there, compaired to how you looked when you where a fat 206lb. Also, if you’ve only gained 3lbs, you can’t be “A LOT FATTER”, at most you’re a little fatter. [/quote]
you guys are right, i’ve decided to keep on bulking. when you guys say “fix” your diet, i still don’t really understand what you really mean. i thought my diet was pretty good
i’m sorry for being so stubborn
A good diet for many people to gain mass is one that consists of 35-40% protein (depending on how much lean mass you carry and how good you handle carbs) 30% fat (1/3 coming from saturated fat, 1/3 monounsaturated, 1/3 polyunsaturated) and the rest of the calories coming from Carbohydrates.
If you were accurate when you said you eat about 500g of carb and 100-150g of protein per day that is the root of your problem. Well first of all theres some fat in each of those meals that you aren’t counting. And second of all that’s an enormous amount of carbs for someone carrying as little muscle as you are. Extremely lean people can tolerate much higher carb levels than other, and need those carbs to gain weight. You, however, do not need 500g of carbs per day.
Just keep going man. I have a wide-ass waist. Over the last 2 and a half years, putting on as much size as possible everywhere else is what I’ve been doing to create an illusion of a small one.
isn’t saturated fat BAD for you? i’ve been doing everything to avoid this and i’ve been looking up for foods that have polyunsaturated and Monounsaturated fat and they are nuts like almonds
when i look at the peanut butter nutrition facts it says
per 1 tbsp
fat: 8 g 12%
saturated: 1.5g
does that mean that there are 6.5g of unsaturated fat? are unsaturated fat good for you?

Instead of expecting people to tell you how/what to eat, it would help you much more if you simply spent some time learning about nutrition and then figure out what works best for your body. Here’s a good place to start: Strength Training, Bodybuilding & Online Supplement Store - T NATION
Btw, I have big, wide waist myself but as long as my back and shoulders stay wider I don’t care much.

you seriously need to start reading the articles on this site, because you really have no concept of what you are doing; which is to be expected of a newbie.
in terms of diet, read john berardies articles, that will get you further in the world of body transformation then you will ever know.
as far as training goes, i say drop the full body workouts; i reccomend WESTSIDE FOR SKINNY BASTARDS 3. which can be found here www.defrancostraining.com. dont get the name confused with being a pussy, this program will get you strong and jacked.
one last thing, if you think your fat and that 3 pounds made any sort of fucking difference, your an idiot, your probably just feeling fuller from the extra food your eating. your not fat, your obvisously making great strength gains, so go with it brother, dont stop because your feeling soft. straighten out your diet and get your training in check and keep bulking.
also, if your parents wont buy the proper food, offer to do the shopping for them, im sure they wouldnt mind and you both get what you want.

So… over 3,000 calories throughout the day, plus your fats and protein? I don’t buy it at your weight.
I promise your not fat my man stop worrying so much just eat and lift. I had the same problem with my parents and the junk food. If I was you I would try and get a part time job like I had to (my dad told me that healthier foods was expensive and if I wanted it I was going to buy it) so I got a job at mcdonalds god I hated that place lol but if all you going to buy is food 60-70 dollars aweek will get you far and, thats only 12-13 hours at mcdonalds. Its a small price for having the nutrients and supplies your body needs if you are serious about lifting anyway.
